Explore Best of Puerto Plata with Cable Car

Great excursion! We had a little trouble finding them because we were looking for Shore Excursion Group on sign, our mistake! Once we looked for the name of the tour and people wearing clothing as described to us, it was easy! There were lots of people with signs for tours of Puerto Plata, so look for the clothing as described to fine them! Then we were put on an air-conditioned bus to wait for the others and off we went for a wonderful day!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This port was the HIGHLIGHT of our cruise. We had THE BEST tour guide, WINSTON, who was very interesting & extremely knowledgeable of his country's history. The stories he shared and scenery/places he took us for photos was INCREDIBLE. This is the MOST MEMORABLE tour and experience of my lifetime. Winston was also very accommodating and compassionate with my 80 y/o mother-in-law, who could not do as much of the walking. Time well spent! EXCELLENT tour and guide staff! MUCHAS GRACIAS for showing us what a treasure your beautiful country is.

It was a longer walk than we expected to reach our departing place, but we survived. The tour guide did a great job giving us details and history and was very pleasant. The bus driver did a good job and we never doubted his driving ability. Would highly recommend!

This was one of the best excursions we had. Our guide Winston was very knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating. He educated us on the history of Puerto Plata, native vegetation and the culture of local people. The tour group was small( about 10 people), so it quick and efficient getting to all the places. Mt. Isabel de Torres was beautiful with great vegetation and views. The cable car ride to the town was excellent with spectacular views of Puerto Plata, it's beaches and the ocean. Once in town we visited beautifuly Christmas decorated Plaza and Winston shared with us all it's history. We also saw a very unusual Pink street. Then we visited Fort Fellipe overlooking the ocean. On the way back Winston gave us most delicious rum punch( with refills). Overall, we have seen many different areas and were fully entertained for 4 and a half hours. Our driver, Luis was also very nice. I will highly recommend this excursion to anyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion in Puerto Plata.. The sights were wonderful. the history interesting. Our guide Winston and driver Luis were top notch, keeping us safe and showing the best of Puerto Plata. I would caution that there is some walking uphill, and the pickup/dropoff point is about a 10-12 minute walk.

As soon as we exited the port area, the tour guide met us. There were only 12 people on the tour in the van, which was very nice. Our tour guide was outstanding. He gave us a lot of history on the area and had a great sense of humor. The views from Mt Isabel de Torres were spectacular. I didn't realize there was a Christ the Redeemer statue there, so that was a bonus! The cable car ride down the mountain was spectacular!

Alex, our tour guide, was very knowledgable, polite, engaging, and enthusiastic. The van was clean and comfortable, and the driver was safe, helpful and polite. We got to see everything that was promised and stayed on schedule. Very memorable and enjoyable.

This was a great way to see the sites in the Dominican, our guide Alex was awesome. He really gave us alot of information and made the day enjoyable. Would recommend.

This tour provides small groups a "slice of life" and history of Puerto Plata, while helping guests experience the color, traditions, and landscape of this beautiful area. The cable car ride alone is a "must do." A great way to spend time in Puerto Plata.

This was a wonderful way to learn more the history and culture of the area, and engage is seeing very colorful and varied sites. A great way to see Puerto Plata from many perspectives and enjoy a small group tour.

We had an excellent, small group, guided experience in Puerto Plata. Our guide provided us with some history and cultural exposure to this lovely port city. Riding the cable car down the mountain was awe inspiring. We came away with new appreciation for this part of the Caribbean.

Our small group enjoyed a real "taste of Puerto Plata", from the variety of ways our tour guide introduced this area. We experienced some of the history and background of the country, along with an opportunity to see beautiful plants in the rain forest. A great adventure with an excellent guide!

My husband and I enjoyed the opportunity to join a small group and explore Puerto Plata. Our guide kept us focused on a number of key locations, and the history of the area. The tour provided us with a rich array of sights, colors, and essentials, and our guide was excellent. A great day in Puerto Plata.
