We had a wonderful tour guide, Luca, who went out of his way to make sure we saw everything that we wanted to see. He was very knowledgeable and we would recommend him to anyone taking this tour.

Tour guide Lucas is a very professional and efficient tour leader. He is knowledgeable and thoroughly managed all materials like history of relics, developments etc. Have learnt a lot and enjoyed the trip from him. Highly recommemded.

Great alternative to Rome

Not far north of the port of Civitavecchia, is the ancient city of Tarquinia, which has underground, painted Etruscan tombs for viewing from the time before the Roman Empire. The modern town of Tarquinia is quaint and picturesque. The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We finished with a guided tour of the Roman baths quite close to the port of Civitavecchia. This small group was preferable to being loaded in the bus by the cruise company.

Excellent Hidden Gem

Having been to Rome many times we were looking for something different to do when we docked at Civitavecchia.
We visited a huge Roman bath site just outside of Civitavecchia; we were the only ones there. Our tour guide Lucca was so knowledgeable about the site. We then went on to Tarquinia and the tombs. Having been to Luxor Valley of the Kings - the tombs in Tarquinia are just as impressive and much more accessible. This tour is definitely a must do.

What a kind man

Many times when I travel with a group of friends I will sit out of a part of the excursions because I use a cane and will slow up the group. So when the guide pointed up a steep hill to show where we were going, I told my friends I would meet them in the park in Tara Quinault. As I was positioning myself for a place to sit out the tour, our tour guide got special permission to take the van up in the town. He didn't want me to miss out. We all had a great day and learned so much about this beautiful area.
