Small Group Santorini Highlights

We loved our tour of Santorini. Unfortunately, due to weather, our boat was docked for hours before we could tender. When we arrived, our tour had left as there was a small group that were staying on the island, and of course, they had to keep to schedule. When I called, the guy was awesome! He told us to catch a cab and meet the guide. Once we met Maria, she gave us a quick tour of what we missed as we were walking to meet the 3 others. She was great! This was the tour I was most looking forward to, and our guide did such a great job! She knows all the great picture spots and she offered to take a picture of us at several places which we've never had guides do before. The weather was not their fault. But they sure went over and above to get us there. Santorini was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour. Thank you shore excursions group for making our day in Santorini so memorable.

Our guide was terrific — knowledgeable, interesting, and fun. She lives on the island, and knows all the back ways to avoid the crowds yet see all the sites, and more. Our small group was able to use a Mercedes mini-van, so we got to go places the big busses couldn’t. The local restaurant on the black sand beach was a great addition.

Excellent guide and much information provided. The trip up the steps was difficult but not much choice given the limited cable car space.

The guide we met as planned. He took us around the island. Things about the island were explain that a regular tour would miss. I like the ice- wine and the volcano impact on the local area. He did a excellent job.

We went all around Santorini including shopping at Oia, visiting a monastery with lovely views, and a stop for lunch at a lovely beachside restaurant, Nathalie, our tour guide, was great. She gave us lots of local history and made sure we got our “blue dome” photos.

Our guide Artis took us around the island and showed us so many amazing places. He was very knowledgeable.

We went on a 14-day Holy Land Cruise (we were schedule for 2-days in Israel, but Oct 7th... Thanks Hamas :( Of all the stops we made, THIS was out favorite and this excursion really put it over the top. It was a small group (12 of us), going from Fira to Oia to Prophet Elias Monestary (highest point on teh island) and the black beach city of Monolithos, this was an unforgettable excursion, run by the best guide and driver in all of Santorini. HIGHLY highly recommend this excursion

Our tour guide was personable and very knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and always had a smile. There was a total of 7 for this tour. Our Mercedes van was comfortable and the driver was pleasant. Santorini is a beautiful Greek island. The walking tour had a lot of narrow, twisting steps, however. It could be a challenge for some seniors. A surprise was stopping for lunch at a lovely restaurant overlooking Black Sand Beach. I would definitely recommend this tour!

This was our favorite excursion on the trip. The tour guide and her husband (the driver) were a fun team. She is from Santorini and knows everyone and everything about it, and shared lots of interesting facts on the area, the people, the food & wine, the culture. We visited several places, including Oia, and also a monastery at an elevation of 1800 ft, where we saw the most fantastic sunset. Highly recommended.

Our guide Sofia was fantastic, she showed us all around Santorini, and then to a lovely place for lunch . Was a wonderful day I would recommend this tour .

The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the excursion and felt like I was able to see the highlights of the island. Would recommend this particular group excursion to others.

We had the afternoon tour booked and it ended up being just the two of us and our guide Maria. We were a bit worried about time (long lines at the gondola) and didn’t want to spend the full 5 hours touring. Maria was very accommodating and we skipped the wine tour, stopped at a bakery, then sampled a single glass of wine at a small village restaurant. We learned so much from Maria on our tour. Glad we got away from the crowded areas and saw the rest of the island.

Totally worth booking this small Group tour. Great to have the local knowledge of each area we visited and also given an option for an additional stop - our group requested a Winery - which was a brilliant choice by our Guide. Guide was very informative and passionate about the areas too.

Yota was our excellent guide and her husband our driver. She was very friendly and easy to understand. She did a great job of explaining the history and Greek culture of Santorini. There was a lot of walking in not sure I would label this tour as easy. We walked on a lot of winding cobblestone paths and stairs. My mother is 77 but very mobile, some areas of this were a struggle for her. I would leave plenty of time to get back to the ship as getting back down by cable car was a hot mess, it took us about 90 minutes of waiting in a line that wove through the town to get back down. 3 ships in port that day.

We arrived to Santorini on Royal Caribbean Odyssey of the seas. The cable car from the port to the city was congested so we were late to meet the guide. 5 minutes before the scheduled start, the guide called me to ask when will we arrive and told me not to worry about our arrival time, she will be there upon our arrival. We met the guide, she was amazing. Knowledgeable, smiling, accommodating and pleasant. The tour was great, took us to all the beautiful places in the island. The Minibus was clean with great air-condition. This was a great tour with a great guide and well worthy of the cost. Strongly recommended!

Appreciated having a group of six on this tour. Comfortable, informative, laid back tour with a very interesting and friendly tour guide. The additional wine tour and wine tasting was fun (and I’m not a typical wine-o). Would highly recommend!

The guide was enthusiastic and excited about showing the highlights of this beautiful island. With the summer rush, she was able to be patient and waited for us to negotiate the funicula to arrive at the meeting point. We had some flexibility with respect to where we would go because we were a small group. We visited Imeroviigli Oia, and a monastery. We had some time at Black Beach. She gave us some highlights of the area as we were approaching so that when we got to the area which was most likely crowded, we had enough time to go off on our own and get great pictures. I would recommend it

Had a fantastic tour. Thanks Angelo, you were great! (I hope I got your name right). We saw the whole island, got off the beaten path away from the crowds, and saw some incredible beaches.

Wonderful tour! The guide was so knowledgeable , the city was absolutely gorgeous! Would love to go to Santorini again !

The town was wonderful once we got to the top, via the cable car, after a long wait in line. Crazy to have three large cruise ships in port at the same time. Our guide was wonderful, and very rewarding to sight see all over the island. A high light was the restaurant we went to, right on the beach, with wonderful food. Many memorable photo opps we took advantage of. One is now our Facebook photo of us. It would have been nice to have a water to take with us after the tour was over, as we had to wait in line for over an hour to get on the cable car for the ride down.

Our tour guide, Elena, was very polite, professional and knowledgeable! She took the tour at the perfect pace. We had free time to walk around Oia and even managed to grab a quick bite before meeting back up with our group. Santorini is absolutely beautiful and was my favorite port stop on our cruise!

After seeing all the famous parts of Santorini we really enjoyed strolling down the village where natives live, seeing their houses,streets, just regular life without any tourist attractions. Great tour!

We loved this tour, however it was slightly different than what we were expecting. Our guide was great, but she was quick and felt a little bad for the people in our group that were a little older. There are lots of steps and twists and turns. We went to oia, which was lovely and had a chance to get ice cream or beer, and then we went to the opposite end of the island to the highest point, which was beautiful. Then we went to a restaurant for lunch. They let you sample a win if you wish, for lunch and then get it. And you had to pay for lunch, so not exactly the wine tasting we expected, but the food was delightful. Santorini is just gorgeous. We were the only ship, so the cable cars were quite fast, but in the evening there were 3 and the line was was like an hour plus, so plan ahead based on how many ships are coming your day.

This was a great small tour of Santorini. Our tour guide was fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone. The BEST!!!!

We had the best couple as driver and guide-Yota. Very knowledgeable, took us to several less crowded areas. The place we stopped for lunch was on a black sand secluded beach, with great food and service. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour. Our tour guide was Markella and she was very knowledgeable. It included time for shopping in Oias. It was a perfect day of Santorini beauty that included a fabulous lunch beside the sea.

This was a great small group tour. Very informative and attentive guide. The only thing I would change is to allow for shopping stops. We walked through a couple of very nice shopping areas, but couldn't stop to explore. The black beach option at the end while others did a wine tasting tour was a nice surprise.

Knowledgeable tour guide and an excellent driver provided a nice tour of this beautiful island.

Shore excursions provided a simply wonderful day exploring Santorini. The guide met us right on time at the top of the cable car ride. Our guide and driver were so friendly and fun. We strolled Oia and then headed to a monestary high on the mountain with beautiful views. We visited a tiny local village and walked through the quiet streets. Lunch on the black sand beach was another highlight. We definitely recommend this tour and felt that we had a perfect overview of beautiful Santorini!

Our guide was very informative and very pleasant. Loved all of it. Very well run had a fabulous lunch in a beautiful restaurant that guide brought us to.

Great time! Very informative! Super nice guide!

Our guide, I believe Yannis (hopefully spelled right!) was fantastic. He was easy to understand and gave us lots of information. He knew all the great spots to take us to to have the best pictures. It was well organized, and even with the busyness of the cable car we were still able to see everything in the short time with had with this cruise stop.

This tour covers all the iconic beautiful places you see in travel brochures. Santorini does not disappoint. Please note the requirements for accessing island via the cable cars and be prepared for payment and long lines so that you arrive in time to meet your guide. Beautiful at every turn. Don’t miss it.

Our guide was awesome and the views could not be beat. We stopped for a great lunch as well.

As we were the only customers we were given excellent service and were shown around the whole island. Worth doing
