Private Guide and Vehicle - Full Day (Visas Included)

Yulia Chebotar was our tour guide, and Andrew was the driver. Yulia gave us the option of Peterhof Grand Palace which is an outside city tour or the city center tour which is about 5 hours long. This included a rest break of an hour at Abpoba, a souvenir shop that provides free washrooms, hot/cold drinks and biscuits. We had 2 hours free time to have lunch. We wanted authentic regional food, Yulia choose Restoran Yat for us. Superb! The private bus sits 22, which was very comfortable for our small group of 5. Our group wanted to experience a tank adventure which is located 1.5 hours outside the city. As we did not make prior arrangements with the tank operator, Yulia was able to make contact and set up an arrangement, but due to the distance and time required, we chose to just keep the city tour. We were impressed that she was able to make arrangements in such a short time. I highly recommend booking with Shore Excursions as it is amazingly more economical than with the ship.

Our guide, Adele, did an excellent job of organizing a route that included all the specific places we wanted to visit and she also adding a few lesser known places which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall it was an excellent day.

Our tour guide Sergei was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spoke English well and accommodated the varying interests and needs of our large group of 9, including an infant and a toddler. We had a very full day of sightseeing including Peterhof and the Hermitage impressionist collection. Sergei and our driver made sure that we arrived back at the ship on time.
