We booked this excursion for the first night we docked in Kauai. The luau was wonderful. Someone in Kauai said the Smith Family luau was the best and they were right. The family was there to greet us when we arrived, gave us a tram ride around the gardens and explained what the luau was about and the traditions. Plenty of food and specialty drinks. The show was fantastic. Then the family was there to say good night. You always felt welcomed. The whole process went smoothly from beginning to end.

This was the best and most enjoyable event of our cruise . I have had over 40 cruises and this was the best, hands down. The Smith family have a fantastic facility. I cannot say enough about this event.

Sore Excursions did a wonderful job. We was notified before the Luau via text with information. Our table was reserved, the venue was amazing. The food was excellent. The show was spectacular. This is a must see while in Hawaii. The Smith family was wonderful.

The prettiest views with lots of flowers and trees. I loved the colorful peacocks, the food was fantastic, especially the pulled pork! Alcoholic beverages were perfectly mixed. You get to learn how to Hulu dance and see a wonderful dance and fire show at the end!

Outstanding luau

The food, entertainment, and garden tour were all outstanding. One of the highlights of our tour. If we make it to Hawaii again, we will go to this luau again!

This was awesome!! A tour of the area with plants, birds, and the food was enjoyed by all. The entertainment was great, so much talent. So glad we included this Luau on our trip.

We were skeptical about a luau due to reading bad reviews. Luaus are crowded, ours had almost 500 people in attendance. All that said- this was FANTASTIC!! The customer service was top notch, the food was actually pretty good and the luau dance experience was nothing short of amazing. Going to Hawaii, a luau is a must. You have to do it. This one I would highly recommend. There are a number of dances costume changes, and yes- FIRE!!!!! Loved it.

I would give the luau 5 stars. The site was beautiful and the food was very good, especially the pulled pork. The entertainment was excellent and informative.

The was lots of food and drink and the entertainment was good. The use of fire in the show was very interesting. I would definitely recommend this. The wait for the meal to begin from the time we arrived was a bit long though. They should have opened the bar earlier. It was a beautiful piece of property.

WONDERFUL experience from beginning to end. Nice grounds to walk around, food delicious and things organized very well. Had the authentic pig roasting ceremony and GREAT show after dinner.

Tram ride through beautiful grounds. History of traditional cooking method - Pig roasted under soil as well as Hawaiian dessert. Introduction to some Hawaiian words. Delicious buffet with free mai tais. Breathtaking show with native dances from countries who immigrated to Hawaii and combined to become a beautiful melting pot.

Outstanding Service

My husband has Celiacs and it is difficult for us to eat out at buffets. We called in advanced and were told to present ourselves to the staff when we got there to ensure we had a gluten-free meal. Well, there was a pre-prepared (and wrapped to prevent any cross contamination) meal ready for my husband AND they let us go first in line for the buffet before all of the other guests since there were gluten free options within the buffet. We were super impressed and very grateful. My husband did not get sick! The staff was great and the show was very entertaining. The grounds were beautiful and it was nice to see the pig being cooked in the Imu. Thank you for an amazing experience.

They were prompt with pickup from the cruise ship and offered commentary on way to the Luau - Smith's Luau - this Luau and the show they put on were fantastic - talked to some people on the cruise who couldnt believe the show I was telling them we saw - the luau they went on with the ship had nothing similar for entertainment!!!!

I definitely wanted to include a Luau in my 7 day cruise and did not want to be with a million people trying to do the same thing so this is why I chose this particularly activity. I was not disappointed. It was an amazing cultural experience and happily lacked all the shopping outlets. Great experience.

The True Hawaiian Experience

The River was wonderful and the luau was something that had to experience before leaving. The food and program afterwards was great and much cheaper than what was offered by our cruiseline. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the islands.

This was an extremely excitiiing trip up the Wailua River to see beautiful waterfall and and exciting ride up the River. The Fern Grato was beautiful and the Laua was beautifulo. The food was magnificant.
