A Taste of Van Gogh

An incredible day is ahead for true art lovers as you journey from Amsterdam to one of the world's largest Van Gogh collections and more. Meet your local representative and soon you will be travelling in the comfort of your transportation as you relax and listen to information about the sights from your English-speaking guide.

After approximately 75-minutes, your exclusive Van Gogh day begins in grand fashion in the Kröller-Müller Museum which owns the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world and lies in one of Netherlands most beautiful national parks. Besides almost 90 paintings and over 180 drawings of Vincent van Gogh you will also find masterpieces by modern masters such as Claude Monet, Georges Seurat, Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondriaan. In the sculpture garden of the museum (one of the largest in Europe) you can enjoy over 160 sculptures by iconic artists like for example Aristide Maillol and Jean Dubuffet.

Continue from here and travel next to a watermill that Van Gogh painted in 1884. Take the opportunity and snap some amazing pictures of this and the surrounding area. You have the option to take your lunch here (lunch not included in the price of the tour).

After this break, you will visit the city of Nuenen, where Van Gogh lived and found inspiration for many of his paintings. Here you can not only see the house where Vincent lived and worked from 1883 to 1885 but you can also walk in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh. What makes it so special is that you can see and experience the stories about Van Gogh, his letters and his paintings from the very same spot.

Once you have snapped plenty of photos making a lifetime of memories, your full-day tour concludes with the return to central Amsterdam.
