Private Acadia Adventure Tour

Private Acadia Adventure Tour
After a drive through historic downtown Bar Harbor, you will be driven to the Sieur de Monts Springs entrance of Acadia National Park.
You will proceed on the 22-mile long Park Loop Road at a leisurely pace. You will pass such landmarks as The Precipice and Sand Beach near the scenic Ocean Drive section of the loop.
A photo stop will be made at Thunder Hole, a chasm cut through the granite that can (under the right conditions) produce high waves and a booming sound.
Continuing on, you will pass the 107 foot-high Otter Cliffs before passing into the Birch-dominated forest and pass glacial created Jordan Pond, nestled among the mountains.
A detour out of the park will bring us to Seal Harbor and Northeast Harbor, the last two old-money Victorian wealth bastions left on Mount Desert Island. You will pass by a private church built by Edsel Ford more than 100 years ago for his Catholic servants. Today it is owned by Martha Stewart.
You will then proceed past Little Long Pond, where John Rockefeller's 100-room "cottage" called the Eyrie once stood (demolished 1960s) on to Northeast Harbor, home to dozens of elegant summer cottages which have been passed down through the generations. You will also pass the "Northeast Harbor Fleet, the yacht club of the village.
Re-entering Acadia National Park, you will make your way to the summit of Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the Eastern seaboard of North America. The 360 degree views are stunning. Stops will be made at several outlooks. From here, you will be driven back to Bar Harbor.
