Setting out from the cruise pier area, you will journey to sightsee the East Coast of Barbados. As your driver guide tells you about his beautiful island, you will travel to some of its best-known scenic sites.
On this Barbados excursion you will stop for photos at Cherry Tree Hill where you will have a panoramic view of the highlands of the Scotland District; Morgan Lewis Windmill, the last sugar windmill to operate on Barbados; Cattle Wash, known for its curative climate; Bathsheba, with its gigantic boulders and waves breaking upon them; and St. John's Parish Church, where you will enjoy a wonderful view of the entire East Coast.
After a morning of tropical beauty, you'll make your way across country, traveling through the Garrison Historic Area, built in 1806, and on to Copacabana on Carlisle Bay. With white sand and turquoise water, this beach is a real slice of paradise. At Copacabana, you will be provided with a welcome drink along with a beach chair and umbrella.
The facility has small lockers for rent, washrooms and showers. Although lunch is not included, there is a restaurant and bar to serve you on and off the beach.
Carlisle Bay is a marine park with 25 shipwrecks hidden below its surface. You will have approximately 2 hours at the beach to sun, swim, look for sand dollars, or perhaps participate in one of the snorkel excursions to swim with the turtles or alongside one of the shipwrecks. Snorkel excursions can be purchased right on the beach. There are also jet skis and banana boat rides available for hire.
On the way back to the port you will pass through Garrison Historic Area and the capital of the island, Bridgetown. Those not wishing to have beach time may also be returned to the ship.

The island tour was great with many stops. The guide was excellent. After the tour we spent some time at the beach. A white-sand beach with warm water, awesome! I would highly recommend that excursion.

Very good and enjoyable tour of the more scenic areas in Barbados. Ended at a beach resort in Bridgetown just a short hop from the port. I didn't care much for that part. The beach was very crowded and you had to pay extra for the food (they did supply one drink). Given that the tour was about 5 hours and went until around 2:30pm, some kind of food should have been provided. Our driver was

Best tour we did!! Loved Barbados and the tour guide was so friendly and informing. Would highly recommend!
Super tour with tons of history of Barbados. Our driver was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and safe. He was every helpful at all of our stops. The tour gave a great overview of the island as well as some down time at the beach....however the beach was not as described. They had run out of umbrellas so stuck us on a beach chair under a man made metal pad. Definitely took away from the ambiance. The restaurant was closed so no food available for lunch AND the "lockers" described to secure your belongings did not have DOORS, so they were actually cubby holes. This should not reflect on the tour itself as that was great just be aware that the beach portion is not as mentioned.
