A Bit of History on the Water

Large catamaran with lots of stops to see different islands in the famous Beagle Channel. There were numerous photo opportunities along the way. Be prepared for large group on the boat. We stayed in places a bit longer so all would have an opportunity to take pictures or be in them by the photographers onboard.

Beagle Channel by Catamaran

The rain had stopped and the sun made an appearance as we headed out of the harbor. As we approached little islands we were greeted with many sea lions resting on the rocks sharing the landscape with a variety of cormorants. The appearance of 3 whales on the surface of the bay rounded out a great experience on the southern ocean.

Late but fun - for us if not for the whales

The excursion to the Beagle Channel by Catamaran was very late starting. Some passengers didn't bother signing in. The views of cormorants and sea lions were great. There was a very good and well organized shore excursion to see wildlife. We also saw several hump-backed whales but we pursued them too closely and stayed upon them until they dove deep to get away from us. I think they were quite stressed.
