This exciting excursion will provide you with a thorough orientation of Juneau, including a stop at the famous Brotherhood Bridge for a stunning view of the majestic Mendenhall Glacier.

Your journey begins in the heart of the historical downtown district, where the streets are lined with charming gift shops, jewelry stores, king crab shacks, and local fish restaurants. This Juneau tour will also take you past the world-famous Red Dog Saloon, a local landmark filled with history and character.

Leaving the bustling downtown area behind, you will make your way to the historic mining community of Douglas Island. From the sky bridge in the rearing facility, watch as millions of baby king and coho salmon grow all year long. Enjoy a relaxing 1 hour and 45 minute scenic journey on a train from Skagway to the top of the White Pass Summit. Along your journey you will pass Pitchfork Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, William Moore Bridge & Overlook, Skagway Scenic Overlook, Fraser Train Depot, Tormented Valley, and the "Welcome to Alaska" Sign. Please be advised that this Skagway port tour might alternate between operating with the bus portion first or the train portion first.

All guests ages 16 and older are required to present an original passport when crossing the Canadian border; photocopies are not accepted. Guests should also bring any required visas or Permanent Resident Cards in addition to their passports. U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old or younger may travel with an original certified birth certificate instead of a passport. Birth certificates combined with a driver’s license are not permitted for adults. Guests who are unable to present the required documentation at the time of departure will not be able to participate in the tour and will not be eligible for a refund. All minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian. If a minor is traveling with someone other than their legal guardian, they must have a notarized letter of consent signed by all legal guardians. Any single adult traveling with a child under 18 must provide either an original death certificate for the non-accompanying parent or a certified letter from the non-accompanying parent stating that the accompanying adult has permission to take the child across the border, that the accompanying adult has authority to make all medical decisions for the child, and providing a daytime telephone number for the non-accompanying parent in case further verification is needed.

As the tour strolls along James Bay, the guide will go into the early history of Victoria including the influence of George Vancouver and the importance of the gold rush.

The tour will then proceed into the Inner Harbour among some of the most iconic buildings in the city including the Steamship Terminal Building, the Legislative Building, and the Empress Hotel. Here, the tour will sample maple syrup, which is the most famous Canadian export of all! Guests will also sample a Nanaimo bar which is a sweet local delicacy. Love what you're tasting? You will be able to take home the recipe to make again. After strolling around the harbor, the tour will end on Government Street.

On a busy Government street, the tour will stop at two iconic Canadian businesses including Rogers' Chocolates, the oldest chocolate shop in Canada, and Beavertails. Here, you will taste poutine, a Quebec dish that contains fries, cheese curds, and gravy. It's not for the faint of heart. The tour ends at Artisan wine. Canada is one of the only producers of ice wine in the world and here you will get to try this rare delicacy. Feel free to bring home a uniquely Canadian souvenir.
