This tour can accommodate a collapsible wheelchair. According to New Zealand laws, children under 8 must be correctly secured in an approved child restraint, such as a baby seat or a booster seat. Children must be older than 7 and over 128 centimeters (about 4 feet) tall to ride without a booster seat. Children 8 years or older must use safety belts. No children of any age may travel in a parent's lap.

West Auckland Countryside

This amazing full-day tour will introduce you to new experiences, giving you hours of exploration through the West Auckland countryside. The west coast is home to some extremely beautiful beaches, national parks and wineries.

Leave the Pacific Ocean behind as you enjoy a scenic ride through the Auckland suburbs to the rugged western portion of Auckland and the Arataki Visitor Centre in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges. The height of these volcano remnants creates a perpetual micro rainforest environment near the heart of the city. Inhale the crisp air of Arataki Bush and Nature Preserve while you survey Auckland's stunning landscape and twin harbors. While here, pop into the Visitor Centre to see a myriad of interesting displays and learn about the diverse ecosystem.

Once you've had your fill you will continue westward to Muriwai Beach as your guides share fascinating facts and stories along the way. From Arataki Visitor's Centre we will break for a light snack and beverage. Approach the west coast and be greeted by an impressive view of the Tasman Sea with its occasional surfers or para gliders. You will take a leisurely walk to the viewing decks to see the migratory Gannets (only between September-March) who nest along the shoreline. These unique seabirds can live up to 35 years old and enter the water at speeds of 100km (62 mph) to accurately catch their prey. Be sure to take a walk along the shoreline full of black iron sand and wave hello to Australia before seeing another side of Auckland as you head back to port.

Hawkes Bay Scenic Tour

This tour will allow you to unlock New Zealand's best kept secret - Napier and the greater Hawkes Bay area.

This tour features some of the best scenery in New Zealand, as you drive through mixed farming country. Enjoy sights of sheep, cattle, and deer farming, as well as orchards, vineyards, market gardens, and much more while on your journey.

Hawke's Bay is noted as the Gourmet Food and Wine region of New Zealand. It is the second largest and oldest wine-producing region, producing mainly Bordeaux-style wines. You will drive through the most scenic parts of this land on some of the most picturesque roads in New Zealand. Eventually, you will reach Te Mata Peak--the highest peak in the area. This famous location boasts some of the most breathtaking views of the Heretaunga Plains and Hawke's Bay. Your vehicle will take you to a photo stop, located almost towards the top of the peak, where you will be able to take in the majestic view and snap some pictures as we traverse the scenic Hawkes Bay roads.

The tour continues with an informative drive through the main streets of Hastings City. You will hear some of the stories behind New Zealand's largest natural disaster, the 1931 Napier (Hawkes Bay) earthquake, and why the cities of Hastings and Napier were rebuilt in the popular styles of yesteryear.

From Hastings, the tour takes a scenic drive back to Napier to soak up the Art Deco style in and around Napier. You will enjoy a drive through a mostly 1930's Art Deco housing estate. The tour then drives through the Art Deco Capital of the world, Napier City. Here you will see all the world-famous Art Deco buildings firsthand.

At the conclusion of the tour, you will have the option to do some shopping or just walk the main streets in the central city with your camera before returning to your shuttle.
