Explore Aruba in an air-conditioned bus on the Aruba Highlights Tour. Your friendly and professional tour guide will show you Aruba attractions and natural landmarks.
You will visit the Aloe Vera Factory and Museum. Aloe, first introduced to the island in 1840, became a very important part of Aruba's history. At one point, Aruba was the largest exporter of aloe in the world, with almost two-thirds of the island covered in plants. You will have the opportunity to take a tour through the state-of-the-art Aruba Aloe Factory and learn more about its history in the adjacent museum.
You'll also have the chance to marvel at Aruba's renowned natural marvel, the Casibari Rock Formations. These immense tonalite boulders form a captivating cluster, with walking trails and steps guiding hikers through them to reach the summit, where they can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views.
Next, you will make a short stop at the Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins on your way to the Alto Vista Chapel. The chapel was built on the site of the first Catholic church built in Aruba in 1750 by a Spanish missionary. It is a special place for peace and contemplation, surrounded by the Aruban countryside. Following the Chapel, you will visit the famous California Light House, named after a ship called the Californian, which has the distinction of having received distress signals from the Titanic as she went down in icy waters in 1912. This area offers some of the most beautiful scenic views of Aruba.
Your fun-filled day exploring Aruba attractions ends with a refreshing swim (sea and weather conditions permitting) in the pristine waters of Aruba as you visit Arashi Beach, renowned for its beautiful white sand and great snorkeling (not included).
Special Dominica Favorites
On this sure-to-be memorable excursion, you will enjoy two of Dominica's most popular attractions, Emerald Pool and Trafalgar Falls, and do so in the afternoon, after the cruise line mobs from the morning have gone away.
Your tour begins as you proceed to the Trois Pitons National Park (a UNESCO Certified National Park) to visit the Emerald Pool. To reach the pool, there is a 20-minute walk with your guide over packed dirt with some inclines. Once at the pool you may choose to take pictures of the 40-foot waterfall, take a quick dip, or just enjoy the beauty of this tropical rainforest.
From the Emerald Pool, travel through the lush countryside to the village of Trafalgar. Your first view of Trafalgar Falls will be of the top, cascading side by side out of deep gorges carved out by the falls. Guests will set out on a 20-minute walk over uneven and occasionally steep terrain, past ginger plants and vanilla orchids, to reach the falls' viewpoint where you can enjoy the scenery and take pictures.
Upon departing Trafalgar Falls, you will drive to the Botanical Gardens for fabulous photo opportunities. Perhaps you'll even catch a glimpse of Dominica's national bird, the Sisserou Parrot, found only here in Dominica.
Following your tour, you will be returned to your ship.
Infants under the age of 2 are welcome to join and are free (must sit on adult lap), no advance notice is needed.
Paradise Island & Atlantis Shore Excursion
Experience the best of Nassau on this interesting and exciting tour of the island, highlighted by a visit to the world-famous Atlantis Resort.
Your Nassau excursion starts when you meet your guide/driver at the pier and get into your air-conditioned vehicle. One of your stops will be at the historic Fort Fincastle, a small fort shaped like a paddle-wheel steamer. The fort was built to protect Nassau from invaders; luckily it never saw warfare. At the fort, you'll have time to explore, climb the Queen Victoria Staircase, do some light shopping on your own, and take all the photos you want. If time permits, guests may choose to enter Fort Fincastle (not included, approximately $3 US per person).
After marveling at Fincastle, travel along Bay Street, the heart of Nassau's shopping district, and home to the native Straw Market. Some highlights of this excursion include views of the Government House (official residence of the Governor-General of the Bahamas since 1801), the Governor's Mansion, and Gregory's Arch. This stone arch was named after Governor John Gregory, who served around 1850. When you pass through the arch on Market Street, you'll also cross the line that divides downtown Nassau from the rest of the country.
On the way to Paradise Island, enjoy a sweet stop at the Rum Cake Factory-a newer addition that guests love. Sample complimentary slices of rich, flavorful rum cake and shop for original small or large cakes, ideal for gifts or personal indulgence. Restrooms are available at this stop. Following this, you will travel to Paradise Island, connected to New Providence by two scenic bridges spanning Nassau Harbour. Keep an eye out for Hog Island Lighthouse, built in 1817, which stands proudly at the island's western tip and is visible from the cruise port.
The highlight of Paradise Island is without a doubt, the world-famous Atlantis, a magnificent resort with over 3,000 hotel rooms, 20 restaurants, a wide variety of stores, a 123-acre water park, beautiful beaches and the largest casino in the Bahamas. The total cost to construct Atlantis was over $2 billion. Your tour will make a short stop at Atlantis, where you'll have free time to explore the amazing lobby, casino, or the shops. After your free time, you will be taken back to your ship.
Guests wishing to end their tour at Atlantis will need to arrange a taxi back to the ship pier at their own expense. There are many taxis available at Atlantis and the approximate cost of the ride to the ship pier is $5 US/person. It is up to the guest to make sure they are back to their ship before sailing time.
Please Note: Fort Fincastle is currently undergoing necessary renovations and will therefore be closed through July 2025. This will also prevent guests from accessing the nearby Queen's Staircase. During this time, a stop will be made to view the staircase from a distance, and then the tour will be rerouted to Fort Charlotte, where guests will receive the same amount of free time to explore and shop. If time permits, guests may choose to enter Fort Charlotte (not included, approximately $5 US per person).
An approximately 5 to 15 minute walk, or a 15 to 25 minute taxi ride (not included, approximately $6 US per person each way) is required to reach your departure location. Snorkeling with Turtles & Half Day Sail Excursion
Climb aboard a Morgan 46-foot ketch for this half-day sail and snorkel St. Thomas excursion to the Marine Sanctuary, where you'll have a date with a giant green sea turtle.
To begin your St. Thomas excursion, you will sail past the cruise ships as you head for the open sea on a 25-minute boat ride. You may choose a seat in the center cockpit, designed for shade and to provide a firsthand view of how a beautiful boat is sailed. Or, if you want to soak up the Caribbean rays, spread out on the bow or the stern and relax while breathing the refreshing ocean air. The professional and courteous crew will greet you with complimentary drinks and snacks as the sails are raised and we catch the breeze. The crew has been on the island for years and will share some of the history and pirate lore during your three-mile sail to the sanctuary at Buck Island.
After the yacht anchors in Turtle Cove, the crew will offer professional instruction, quality snorkel gear, and the best flotation devices in the entire U.S. Virgin Islands. Then, follow the crew into the water, where they will assist and explain all the different species of sea life that you encounter. In addition to the turtles, you may see octopus, conch, urchins, starfish, squid, and a variety of tropical reef fish, as well as the coral reef of this deserted island during your one hour of snorkeling.
After your snorkeling and swimming, climb back on board for a quick, freshwater rinse on the aft deck. Then partake in a cold beverage including rum drinks, beer, and soft drinks, as the crew sets the sails and turns towards home.
Please Note: The tour departure location is within walking distance of the WICO (Havensight) Cruise Pier. Guests docking at Crown Bay will need to hire a taxi for an approximately 15 to 25 minute ride (approximately $6 US per person each way), which is not included in the tour price.
