Best of Amber Cove and San Juan Two Port Package

Puerto Plata Highlights and Golden Beach Escape
You will be met directly at the cruise center with a refreshing bottle of water before being whisked away in air-conditioned comfort for a day of discovery and relaxing at a premier resort beach!
Nestled between the stunning Isabel de Torres Mountain and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, Puerto Plata sits on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, offering a beautiful blend of beaches, mountains, lush scenery, and rich history. As you drive through the bustling city of Puerto Plata, your excursion host will provide you with interesting information regarding the history and culture of Puerto Plata and the Dominican Republic. You will stop for photos and historical insights at the grounds of Fort San Felipe before heading on to famous Umbrella Street. The local representative will guide you along this historic street filled with unique boutiques and its colorful canopy of umbrellas.
Your next stop is the charming Paseo de Doña Blanca—also known as Pink Street, an eye-catching pink alley in the heart of the historic district, perfect for photos. From there, you'll visit Independence Park, where you'll learn about the Dominican Republic’s journey to independence and its restoration period. You’ll also have the chance to see the local cathedral and enjoy some free time to take photos of the park’s beautiful Victorian architecture. The tour continues with a scenic drive along the Atlantic boardwalk, the Malecón, with a brief stop to capture a photo of the Neptune statue set on a small offshore islet.
Upon arrival at the resort beach in beautiful Playa Dorada, your host will welcome you with a refreshing complimentary rum punch and a quick orientation. Then it's time to unwind! Stroll along the golden sands, take a dip in the ocean, enjoy food and drinks at the beachfront bar and restaurant, or kick back on a complimentary lounger (they’re first-come, first-served—but there are plenty to go around). Before heading back to port, enjoy one more rum punch to toast a relaxing day in paradise.
After this relaxing time away at the beach, you will return to the cruise center in comfort.
Please note: To participate, all guests are required to sign a waiver on the day of the tour after meeting the local representative.

San Juan Old and New Tour
Escape the crowded cruise line tours and take our Old and New San Juan City Tour with an experienced guide. An old walled city with more than 400 years of history, in contrast to a modern resort city, is the backdrop for your orientation of this thriving and interesting city.
In the new part of town, you will travel through the Condado area. Here you will see the luxury hotels, casinos, nightclubs and many restaurants that make this the most popular place in town after dark.
San Juan's Old Town tells hundreds of years of history in its restored and renovated buildings, homes and fortifications. It is divided by narrow streets, many still paved with cobblestones. Photo opportunities abound as you pass the Governor's Palace, San Juan Cathedral, Capilla de Cristo, Fort San Cristobal and travel along the coast road to El Morro, where you will have a photo stop from the street.
As you drive along, look down every street for hidden plazas and the beautiful 17th-century Spanish ironwork on the restored old homes, and blue-black glazed cobblestones lining the narrow streets of the Old City. At the end of the tour, you will be returned to the port.
