You will first see Akershus Castle and Fortress whose original construction dates back to 1299AD. Built to protect the city, it has successfully survived all sieges. Most of what you see today was added in the 17th century. Today it is still a military area. It is also home to the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum and the Norwegian Resistance Museum, both of which can be visited. It is also the final resting place of Norwegian nobility.

Sail through a maze of islands, many dotted with small summer houses, and the Dyna Lighthouse. Pass the Opera House, Hovedoya Island, and the Bygdoy peninsula, with its many interesting museums and beaches. Make your way to a smaller branch of the Oslofjord, the waterways that surround Oslo.
