Starting in the center of things, this general tour passes many of the major highlights of the city.

Starting out on the bus portion of your tour, you will see the Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament and the Royal Reception Rooms. You will also enjoy sights of the Royal Danish Opera, Tivoli, Islands Brygge, and many other statues and landmarks. You will be afforded about 30 minutes to walk around Amalienborg Palace and experience the changing of the Royal Guards. Finally, you will visit and take photos with one of the most famous sites in Copenhagen, the Little Mermaid statue. The statue was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale.

Next, a canal boat is waiting to take you on a 1 hour cruise through the bustling harbor of Copenhagen. From the boat you can enjoy the many wonderful towers and famous places of Copenhagen, including the Little Mermaid statue from a perspective many never see. The cruise continues through the picturesque canals of Christianshavn and Frederiksholm, where historical buildings are to be enjoyed side by side with new architecture.

The tour ends at GL Strand, a modern art institution, which is only a few minutes walk from Christiansborg Palace and the main shopping street in the city.

The bus tour is pre-recorded in English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Polish, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese, and Danish, and listened to on headsets. On the boat portion, you will have live narration in English and Danish, and often a 3rd language, based on guests on board.

Recommended Dress
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and sensible, flat-soled walking shoes. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket may be necessary for the canal cruise.
Guests must be able to step on and off the bus and the boat. Persons with folding wheelchairs can be accommodated, if they are accompanied by a responsible adult who is able to help carry the wheelchair and assist with boarding. On some buses, wheelchair passengers will have to leave their wheelchair to enter the bus, and the wheelchair will have to be carried on board the bus. No more than two wheelchairs can be carried on any bus. There are many stairs to reach the boat, and wheelchairs will have to be carried. For security reasons, electric wheelchairs cannot be brought on board. Children ages 5 and younger may attend the tour free of charge with advanced notice at the time of booking.

Of our extensive trip to the Baltic states, Copenhagen was the best. We toured the city by motor coach, hop-on-hop off bus, on foot but the best of all was the Copenhagen Panorama Sightseeing & Canal cruise. Price was right! The motor coach portion was guided by Ramon, who was charming and entertaining, let alone knew his stuff about the city. Then on the canal boat, the guide was excellent. Funny and knowledgable. This is a trip you must take to get a feel of the city.

This was a well organized and worthwhile tour of the major sights in Copenhagen. The bus portion was a little rushed, but the boat portion was outstanding. Good value.

The port was congested with shuttle buses/taxis because the road was so narrow. However, I don't think that this could be helped. The tour started pretty far from where the shuttle dropped us off, so we almost missed our tour. We had to stop 4 times to ask people for directions. It probably would have been better to catch the tour shore excursion on the roundabout near the Mermaid stop. However, once we were on the tour, it was great. The guide was great! Additionally, we had the boat tour included, which I thought was the best part because it gave a different perspective on the city.
