Catalonia Winery Visit and Tasting at Familia Torres

Our adventure begins with an expert guide as we journey approximately 50-minutes to the Penedes region, one of Catalonia's most prestigious wine areas. Here, we'll visit one of its most iconic and internationally acclaimed wineries: Familia Torres.

Did you know that Familia Torres has been named the most admired wine brand in the world on multiple occasions? Founded in 1870, this family-run winery has been crafting exceptional wines for five generations, blending tradition, innovation, and a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.

Upon arrival, we'll embark on an immersive tour of the vineyards and the Waltraud winery, an architectural gem of avant-garde, bio-climatic design. During the visit, we'll learn about the wine making process and explore the winery's dedication to sustainability, the recovery of ancestral grape varieties, and regenerative viticulture, a method that works to restore soil health and biodiversity.

The tour concludes with a sensory gastronomic experience featuring a selection of dishes prepared with estate-grown ingredients: tomato bread with estate olive oil, potato omelette, seasonal vegetable cream from the organic garden, coca with "escalivada" and anchovies, Catalan-style chicken, and for dessert, mato with honey from Mas La Plana. Each dish is thoughtfully paired with a guided tasting of four wines from Bodegues Torres, creating a moment to truly relax and savor the principles of slow food.
