Chichagof Island Jeep Adventure

Experience Chichagof Island like a local with this off-the-beaten path tour in your very own Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Unlimited.

Start your day exploring the vibrant fishing village of Hoonah, Icy Strait Point, with its many restaurants, shops and artistic attractions. Discover how the early settlers relocated from Glacier Bay more than 300 years ago due to advancing glaciers.

Grab lunch in town or take it to go with some drinks and snacks and say goodbye to civilization as you drive into the rugged Alaskan wilderness. As soon as the paved road turns into dirt you will have two distinct directions to choose from to see parts of Alaska that very few visitors get to see. Roll along bumpy dirt and gravel roads while you keep an eye out for coastal brown bears, deer, birds and more as you make your way through the backcountry. This is a photographer's paradise, amateur or professional you will have countless opportunities to capture the true spirit of Alaska.

This full-day, independent small tour is unguided, but with a suggested route, and perfect for those who are comfortable in remote wilderness settings. If you love adventure and the open wilderness, this is the tour for you!

Please Note: This is bear country so good bear sense is vital. Those choosing to hike should stay in groups on established trails with bear deterrents. All Jeeps are outfitted with a Garmin Navigation, bear spray, a small cooler with water and a SPOT tracking device/emergency beacon.
