Each Hawaii Segway tour begins with a quick tutorial on riding these state-of-the-art personal transportation devices. The Segway is a self-balancing vehicle that adjusts according to your movements; it's safe and easy to learn. After the brief training, you're ready to explore Waikiki. The beachfront neighborhood is home to major sites, like Kapiolani Park and the Honolulu Zoo. Kapiolani Park, created by King Kalakaua originally as an exclusive residential district that included a horse track in 1876, was named for Queen Kapiolani, King Kalakaua's wife. Kapiolani Park is Hawaii's oldest public park and contains Honolulu Zoo, a 42-acre zoo that contains more than 1,200 animals.

After a trip through Waikiki, you'll continue to Diamond Head, an area formed by volcanic eruptions. Along the route you'll encounter sites such as Diamond Head Lighthouse and Amelia Earhart Lookout. The former is a U.S. Coast Guard structure whose light projects roughly 18 miles out to sea; it's said that the light's intensity is akin to 60,000 candles! Amelia Earhart Lookout is named after the prominent female pilot and offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean as well as the islands of Maui and Molokai. On your way back, you'll see the historic cottage homes along Coconut Avenue, the Natatorium Memorial, and Waikiki Aquarium as you glide oceanside along Queens Beach Promenade.
