Your four-hour tour includes a local, knowledgeable professional guide who will share the history of the island as you ride through the central area and stop to visit historic landmarks and sites including the Queen's Staircase and Fort Fincastle.

Your guided tour includes all necessary cycling gear to make biking comfortable: an audio headset, basket, cold bottled water, map, and helmet. With stops at places like the Straw Market and the Government House to capture scenic views and architectural excellence via a bike, this guided tour is perfect for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts.

Begin your adventure in downtown Nassau and follow your guide as you cycle to some of the most historic landmarks and sites in town. Ride to the top of Elizabeth Avenue for a 15-minute stop at the famous Queen's Staircase, a major limestone staircase that consists of 66 steps. Here you will get the chance to capture its majestic beauty with your camera as your guide shares the history of this 18th-century staircase, including how Queen Victoria assisted in abolishing slavery in the Bahamas.

Continue up Elizabeth Avenue for a five-minute stop at Nassau's tallest structure, the historic 126-foot Water Tower that supplied water to the island of New Providence back in the early 20th century. Next, your cycling journey will take you to the top of Bennet's Hill to spend 15 minutes at Fort Fincastle, a fort built in the late 18th century to protect Nassau from pirates.

Next, grab your cameras for the chance to take beautiful pictures of the exterior of the Government House during a 10-minute stop. Your tour guide will share tales from this historic site's past as you admire the architectural excellence of this Georgian Colonial-style residence of the Bahamas' Governor-General. Now that you have worked up an appetite, make a stop at Graycliff Chocolatier and indulge in a sampling of these locally made delicious treats.

Cycle on and stop at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas and the Junkanoo Museum. Admission is included as you take a break from your bike and tour the galleries. Afterward, you will travel to John Watling's Distillery where you may sample rum and tour the facility. From here your next will stop at Tasty Teas where you will learn about the history and culture of Bahamian bush teas and medicines.

Next up is Fort Charlotte, go inside the fort for a tour and historical narrative. Then travel to Arawak Cay where you may purchase a variety of Bahamian delicacies and drinks. Your adventure continues to the Straw Market for a brief history and shopping break. The last stop is at Rawson and Parliament Square where you can learn about the history of the buildings and statues from the colonial era up to the present day.

Nassau Get Around
December 22, 2021
This was a fun tour. The only snafu was finding our tour guide at the end of the pier when we got there. It was extremely busy with passengers & vehicles & he was zipping by on his bicycle & we had to actually flag him down. It would have been helpful had he actually stopped & been waiting where we were told he would be. Having said that, Archie was a terrific tour guide! We were suited up with some nice bicycles, helmets, & headsets & off we went for a tour of Nassau. It ended up being a private tour which was fun for us. We learned some history & visited a chocolate museum, rum distillery, art museum, & cigar factory. We were on roads with some major traffic in the city, however, Archie was foremost concerned about our safety. This is not your typical bicycle tour but was fun & informative & a great way to spend a couple of hours off the ship & stretch your legs & we would highly recommend it.

Fun Way to See Nassau Culture
February 22, 2020
This was a great way to see the town and culture of downtown Nassau. Vincent was a great guide and very knowledgeable. I liked the headsets so you could always hear what was being said. This was more about the culture and the history than the bike ride, but a fun way to get around. The trip covered everything on the list and more including seeing how cigars are made and a visit to a local garden. This was a well organized tour. We had a small group of just three people.
