Visit Ensenada, Baja California Mexico By Bike

Located a little over 100km (62 miles) from San Diego lies the eclectic city of Ensenada, affectionately referred to by the locals as the Cinderella of the Pacific.

This coastal city is the third-largest in Baja California and over the years has morphed from an original, sleepy settlement city into an aerospace center, blossoming wine region and popular cruise ship destination. It is also the destination of the annual Rosarito Ensenada cycling event, an award-winning 50-mile race along the Pacific coast from Rosarito Beach to the beautiful Ensenada waterfront.

During your 3.5-hour cycling tour, you will hop on a beach cruiser, with back pedal breaks and no shifts, and hit the hot spots in the city for its delicious food and quirky culture. Ride along the Malecon then stop at the nearby Plaza de Las Tres Cabezas to view large sculptures memorializing the city's founders; while here you will be greeted by one of the three largest and tallest Mexican flags in the country. At the former Rivera de Ensenada Hotel, you can belly up to the Andaluz bar where the margarita was invented and taste the original version of this world-famous drink for yourself.

Cruise through the boardwalk at the Playa Hermosa and enjoy one of the best ceviche in Mexico at the La Guerrerense, a ceviche stand that snagged a third-place prize at the Singapore World Street Food Congress and has been the decorated winner of the 2011 and 2012 LA Street Food Fests. Your journey to Ensenada isn't complete until you sink your teeth into an authentic taco at a taco stand locals rated Ensenada's best taco in 2017.

Throughout your, the friendly, knowledgeable English-speaking guide will share fascinating facts and stories about the culture and people of this Baja California gem! Reserve your bike today.
