Fraserburgh Lighthouse and Slains Castle Discovery

Experience the striking landscapes and fascinating history of Scotland's north-east coast on this scenic shore excursion from Aberdeen Cruise Port. Travel through rolling countryside and dramatic coastal scenery as you uncover historic landmarks, legendary tales, and charming seaside communities.

Your journey begins at the spectacular ruins of Slains Castle, dramatically positioned on cliffs overlooking the North Sea. Often connected to Bram Stoker and believed to have influenced parts of Dracula, the castle's crumbling stone walls, archways, and sweeping ocean views create an unforgettable atmosphere. Guests will have approximately 45 minutes to wander the ruins, capture photos, and take in the rugged coastal surroundings.

From here, continue to a picturesque coastal village where you will enjoy around one hour of free time to purchase lunch and explore at your own pace (lunch not included). Stroll through the village, admire the harbor scenery, or simply relax and enjoy the local Scottish charm.

The adventure continues with a visit to the Fraserburgh Lighthouse Museum, located within the historic Kinnaird Head Lighthouse, one of Scotland's oldest lighthouse stations. Spend approximately two hours discovering fascinating maritime exhibits, learning about lighthouse keepers, and exploring the rich seafaring history of the region.

Following a day of dramatic scenery, coastal heritage, and legendary history, sit back and enjoy the scenic return journey to Aberdeen Cruise Port.
