Full Day Lisbon Experience

Located on the coast of Portugal, the hilly, capital city of Lisbon has enjoyed a renaissance in recent years. You and your small group will dive deep into the history of this city while observing its thriving culture.

Your journey begins as you step into a comfortable minivan and travel through Portas do Sol and Nossa Senhora do Monte Belvederes, two of the city's historic neighborhoods. Stop and marvel at the 12th century Romanesque Lisbon Cathedral with its famous stained-glass Rose Window.

Continue to Alfama, the oldest district of Lisbon with medieval alleys, quaint cafes, and interesting architecture that are a photographer's dream. At Belem, you will visit the Tower and learn how the city rapidly expanded during the Age of Discoveries. View the dazzling facade of Jeronimos Monastery and stop for a quick lunch followed by a traditional Pastel de Belem custard tart.

Then it's back to the city center, following an 18th-century aqueduct to the Mae d'Agua Reservoir in the Amoreiras district, one of Lisbon's hidden gems. In the Baixa area you will learn how Lisbon recovered following the devastating earthquake in 1755. If you have the time, make plans to return to Baixa in the evening to experience its sizzling night scene!

Spend the day discovering the magical city of Lisbon by reserving your spot now.

Excellent Guide
November 08, 2018
This was the best shore excursion we had! There were only 8 of us in a small van with an excellent knowledgeable guide. We stopped for an amazing lunch (our own expense), and Pedro bought each of us a custard tart from Pasteizinhos de Balem which is a specialty in Portugal. It was truly a "full day" excursion.
