The aim of the Discover Scuba Dive Grand Cayman excursion is to provide a safe and exciting way for non-certified divers to encounter the underwater world. Are you up for it?
The Discover Scuba Dive trip begins with a briefing on the basics of scuba diving, as well as close instruction on key skills required to dive in the shallow waters off the beach. You'll then experience a guided dive with your instructor on the wreck of the Cali, a 244-foot long freighter which sank in George Town Harbor in 1948 and now lies in 25 feet of water. The ship's ribs are exposed and scattered along the ocean floor, providing an ideal habitat for a Cayman's diverse marine life, including many species of beautiful sponges, tropical fish and a school of large Tarpon.
There will be a maximum of four students per instructor, ensuring small groups and personalized attention on your Grand Cayman excursion. Participants must be a minimum of 10 years of age and be in good health. Participants will be required to fill out a medical questionnaire prior to enrollment and must be comfortable in the water. The tour includes all required equipment, instruction, and one dive.
There are small and secure areas for personal items. There are no lockers available, so guests will want to limit what they bring to the tour.
PADI SCUBA WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE! WE ARRIVED A LITTLE EARLIER WITH OUR SON WHO NEVER DID SCUBA. STUFF OFFERED US TWO DIVES ( FOR SMALL FEE) AND WE AGREED. OUR SON GOT INTRODUCTION LESSON AND SINCE WE HAVE OUR PADI CERTIFICATES, WE JOIN HIM ON BOAT LATTER. STUFF WAS GREAT. OUR SON GOT ALL THE ATTANTION AND IT WAS UNFORTINATE THAT HE COULD NOT DEAL WITH EQUALIZING HIS EAR PRESSURE. HE WAS ABLE TO SNORKELING INSTEAD. BUT MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ABLE TO GO FOR TWO DIVES AND ENJOY THE BEST OF George TOWN SCUBA DIVE LOCATION. CAPTAIN EVEN TOLD US A STORY ABOUT THE RECK AND LOCAL AREAS. WE WOULD DO IT AGAIN!

My friends and I had just certified before arriving in Grand Cayman, but we still wanted to do the Discover Dive since we were a little nervous. Kerry was great! Very patient and helpful. I was very tired by the end and had a little trouble getting back to the dock, but she pulled me along and I made it back. It was just so fun. I would do it again!
