Graycliff Chocolate and Nassau Charm

Discover the charm, history, and flavors of Nassau on this guided tour aboard your customized air-conditioned coach. Led by your knowledgeable driver-guide, you will travel along Bay Street, the heart of Nassau, passing notable landmarks such as the native Straw Market, Government House (the official residence of the Governor General since 1801), Gregory's Arch, and Nassau's oldest library, an 18th-century jail later transformed into a public library. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories, slow at key points of interest, and allow time for photos.

Your first stop is Fort Fincastle, a small fort built in 1793 by Lord Dunmore to protect Nassau from pirates. Shaped like a paddle-wheel steamer, the fort offers sweeping views of downtown Nassau and the cruise port, making it the perfect photo opportunity. From there, you will continue to the Queen's Staircase, a remarkable landmark carved out of solid limestone by slaves between 1793 and 1794. Later named in honor of Queen Victoria, the 66 steps once provided a direct route between Fort Fincastle and Nassau City.

The tour concludes with a visit to the world-renowned Graycliff Chocolatier and the historic Graycliff Estate. Here you will be greeted with complimentary tastings, including a signature truffle, smooth chocolatini, and other handcrafted chocolates. During a guided tour of the facility, your host will explain the chocolate-making process before giving you free time to explore the charming Graycliff grounds. The 1740 colonial mansion is now home to the Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, the Caribbean's first five-star dining establishment, as well as boutique shops, a cigar factory, winery, museum, and more.

Blending history, culture, and culinary indulgence, this excursion offers the perfect way to experience Nassau's vibrant heritage while enjoying its most delightful flavors.
