Excellent trip

It was an overcast day, but we enjoyed our cruise of the bay in a large boat and there were only 12 of us. We did not realize that we were going through the caves which was a highlight of the trip. Our lunch was excellent and the puppet water show was different from anything we had seen. Then we also were invited for tea at a local home that was very interesting, and toured a buddha temple on the way back to our bus.

Halong Bay Excursion

This Unesco Heritage site is one of the wonders of the world and not to be missed In retrospect it was a good choice, because our ship docked at a port 2 1/2 hrs away from the city of Hanoi, and there was not enough time to see both Hanoi, and Halong Bay during the time spent in that port. Our excursion was handled professionally and very informative. One precaution is that there are many steps to climb to enter the caves. Also getting on and off the excursion boats used are quite precarious as well. However I will say that the guides and personnel who handled the boats did a great job assisting us in and out of the boats. The water puppet show was also a wonderful highlight. The setting, and the presentation was one of the highlights and memorable for our whole trip. A great addition to this excursion.

This was a good excursion. Small group only twelve people. Great guide, Si was knowledgeable, informative, very helpful and professional. Driver was good and drove very well. Halong Bay Islands and cave were spectacular. Village trip was good, food tasty, water puppets and temple tour very interesting. I would recommend this to other travellers.

Best excursion of our trip!

Very informative without bombarding us with microphones. Sensitive to our needs and responded to our questions fully. The lunch was the best meal of our whole trip. The leisurely walk to the caves then later through the village allowed us to soak up the culture respectfully.
