Segway beginners and experts alike will enjoy this Honolulu culture tour. At the beginning of your tour, you'll undergo a brief training session to familiarize yourself with the Segway. This remarkable invention is a self-balancing vehicle controlled by leaning. Following the training session, you'll make your way to the first stop on the tour, Waikiki. The beachfront neighborhood features some major attractions like Ilikai Hotel and Ehime Maru Memorial. The Illikai Hotel was the first luxury high-rise hotel in Hawaii when it opened in 1964. Ehime Maru Memorial is dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in a 2001 crash between the USS Greeneville and Ehime Maru, a Japanese fishery high school training ship.
After Waikiki, you'll glide your way toward downtown Honolulu, where you can view Aloha Tower, Washington Place, and Kawaiahao Church. Aloha Tower, a 10-story lighthouse, has greeted vessels since 1926; it was the tallest building in the state for 40 years. Washington Place will take you back in time to the 1800s. The three-acre building, which is largely composed of coral stone, was once the official residence of the Hawaiian governor and a major site in the overthrow of the Hawaii Kingdom back in 1893. Formerly the national church of the Hawaiian Kingdom, Kawaiahao Church is one of the oldest standing Christian places of worship in the state. As you can see, there's plenty of history behind these sites as well as the others you'll encounter on this Honolulu tour.
Until a time machine is invented, there's no better way to learn about Hawaii's extensive history and culture. Hop onto a Segway for an easy and adventurous day in Honolulu. Book your tour today to see Hawaii from a new perspective.

The Segways were almost new and in great clean condition. After a short tutorial we started our Segway Tour of Waikiki and Honolulu. What a great way to see the city. We had a great local guide who was very passionate about Hawaii, and it showed in his knowledge. Thank you Segway of Hawaii.
