After meeting your local guide at the pier, enjoy a scenic 25-minute drive through the countryside to a private ranch surrounded by tropical landscapes and local farms. Here, you'll be matched with your horse and trail guide for a picturesque ride through the mountains and river valley, crossing shallow streams just like a true cowboy. Guests who prefer not to ride may choose to hike alongside the group.
Your ride leads to the stunning El Limon Waterfall, one of the Dominican Republic's most famous natural wonders. From the trailhead, follow your guide on a short hike of approximately 200 uneven steps to reach the pool below the falls. Cool off with a refreshing swim in the clear waters or simply relax and admire the breathtaking scenery.
Afterward, make your way back to the ranch where a delicious, locally prepared lunch awaits. Learn about native plants and fruits growing abundantly in the region before visiting a small local shop. Here, you'll have the chance to sample fresh Dominican coffee, local fruits, traditional chocolate, and even watch hand-rolled cigars being made. A perfect way to end your cultural and nature-filled day in Samana.
