Begin this exciting undersea adventure by catching a cab from your port to a local dive shop. Here, you'll meet with your professionally-trained SCUBA instructors to begin your 45-minute morning classroom session. Learn essential SCUBA diving skills, such as underwater breathing techniques and emergency safety procedures to use. Then, put your knowledge to the test and follow up your morning classroom session by spending 45 minutes in a heated indoor pool.
While in the pool, your SCUBA instructors will also show you some key pool skills you can apply when SCUBA diving near a beach close to Hilo Bay, a popular port for relaxing on the beach, SCUBA diving and snorkeling on Hawaii's Big Island. Next, you'll make your way to spend 45 minutes SCUBA diving in the open waters near one of the reefs that hug the Big Island's coastline. Hawaii is known for its coral reefs, which account for 60 percent of the reef ecosystems in the United States. Catch a glimpse of tropical fish and Hawaiian green sea turtles before heading back to your port in Hilo.

Please Note: A release of liability must be signed by all participants before taking this tour. Guests must successfully pass the classroom and confined portions of the activity in order to proceed to the ocean dive component. Guests must pass a medical questionnaire with no medical issues and the pool training order to dive in the ocean. No refunds will be issued if guests are unable or do not want to complete the excursion. The minimum age for all guests is 8 years old with the exception of the Fishing Charters where the minimum age is 12 years. All guests must provide their height, weight, and shoe size prior to the tour.
