Island Tour and Glass Bottom Boat Combo

Roatan Island is one of the most fascinating islands in the Caribbean, with tropical beauty, interesting villages, and landmark attractions. The crystal waters surrounding Roatan are home to thousands of unique species of fish and other marine life, and the lush vegetation on the island offers some stunning panoramic views. On this Roatan excursion, you'll see it all, visiting charming villages and towns, driving through scenic overlooks, and experiencing underwater mysteries aboard a glass bottom boat.

Your Roatan shore excursion begins with a drive to the west side of the island in a comfortable, air conditioned transport vehicle. Driving through Coxen Hole, the largest town on Roatan, your experienced guide will regale you with interesting facts about the history and culture of the island.

Next, your drive will take you through other small towns and villages, including Sandy Bay, which is in an area of the Roatan Marine Park preserve. Arrive at West End Village and take some time to walk around to visit the unique shops and restaurants. Enjoy a beverage on the beach or at the bar and immerse yourself in Roatan's relaxed lifestyle.

After your stop at West End Village, take a 30 minute underwater adventure in a uniquely designed glass bottom boat that offers stunning views of the ocean floor. Observe the amazing world beneath the water's surface with numerous species of tropical fish and other marine life that inhabit the second largest barrier reef in the world.

The last leg of your journey takes you to the lighthouse in West Bay. Guests love the scenic ocean view, where you can snap some photos and shop for some souvenirs to make your day complete. The return trip takes you through more scenic overlooks and small communities, including Flowers Bay, Gravels Bay, and Pensacola.

Be sure to bring a camera to capture some of the magnificent sights when you book this fabulous tour of Roatan's land and sea.

Unfortunately it was pouring rain the day of our tour, but our guide, William, did everything in his power to make sure we had an informative and entertaining experience. He was extremely personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. The glass bottom boat ride provided an awesome view of the coral reef and sea life. Would definitely recommend.

The tour was most excellent. We sat in the bottom of the boat which had large glass windows and were able to see all the underwater life, fish turtles, reefs etc. It was like snorkeling without getting wet!

Beautiful fish & coral

We saw more on this trip than when we did a submarine tour. The benches let you look at things from all directions not just a porthole right in front of you. Well worth the money.

Great tour

Our guide was very informative and courteous. He took us to a local shop for souvenirs, a chocolate shop and of course the glass boat. The guide on the boat was very informative about the fish and the coral reef. We really had a good understanding of the reef and could see it well. Even the ecological impact on the reef was discussed. Would highly recommend this trip. Following their directions it was easy to find the driver, but it is a bit of a hike to get there. He did drop us off much closer to the ship on the return. I had a cane and was able to make the whole trip.
