Kona Coffee, Green Sea Turtles & Honokohau National Historical Park

Enjoy the Hawaiian culture as you go to the Honokohau National Historical Park and try authentic Kona Coffee on this unique Kona coffee tour.

A visit to tropical Hawaii may not be complete without experiencing these festive locations. First stop will be Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park where you can explore Hawaiian history, archaeology, petroglyphs, and ancient fishponds. This beautiful white sand beach is also home to many of our Green Sea Turtles and local wildlife! For those who like relaxing stroll, a short trail is a 100 yards (10 minute walk) available to get to the sea turtles. Next you'll visit the Kona Coffee Farm to sample the tasty roast, home of the legendary beans farmed in the rainforest. Your learned guide will escort you as you see the beans and learn how they are farmed and processed. You'll be extended the opportunity to enjoy robust samples of what many claim to be the world's finest coffee.

Going south towards South Kona and through Captain Cook Village, we will visit the famous nick named, "Painted Church", due to its painted 3D depictions of the bible in the interior wooden walls all done with ordinary house paint.

Kailua-Kona was primarily a small fishing village. Now the historic seaside town hosts many historical sites, souvenir shops and markets. Upon driving through the lush rainforest, you'll reach Kahalu'u Beach, where you will have the option to snorkel around the nearby reef (snorkel gear is not included and can be rented at the beach). Depending on the season, there are a wide variety of colorful fish to see. If you choose to not participate in the snorkel portion of our excursion, you also have the option of visiting the many fashionable boutiques and cafes located at Alii Drive.

Our third optional stop available to guest is the Kona Brewery & Pub. At the end of a hot sunny day enjoy a locally crafted cold brew. This Kona brewery is famous for its classic ales and lagers, including, Longboard Island Lager, Big Wave Golden Ale, Hanalei Island IPA, Fire Rock Pale Ale and many more. So go ahead and book this pleasurable Kona tour today, so you can enjoy the many different things Kona has to offer!

Please Note: Although it is very likely you will see the green sea turtles on this tour, please note that it is not guaranteed.

Exceeded our Expectations!
November 26, 2019
We weren't expecting this excursion to actually be fun ... maybe interesting and informative, maybe see some pretty scenery. It may have been our tour guide, Dre that made the difference, but this tour was interesting, informative, beautiful, and FUN! Dre is knowledgeable, personable, and professional, which made for one of the best tours we have experienced in our 22 cruises!

The visit to the Sea Turtles & Historical park was great, We were able to see the turtles in their native state and then see some exhibits showing some insights into the original native culture of the island people. The visit to the coffee farms proved to be informative and fun. Our guide gave us a lot of information about the history and culture of the island. Fun and informative!

Fabulous Tour!
July 31, 2019
This was a small tour, only 6 of us. I liked that because it was more personal. Our guide, Dre, was wonderful. Very personable and knew a lot of history. He took us to an authentic Polynesian restaurant for lunch. Delicious! Going to the beach and seeing the turtles was fun. The people at the coffee plantations were so helpful and informative. Got to taste a lot of coffee. We also went to Donkey Balls, a candy store that sells chocolate covered macadamia nuts. Lots of samples. Great tour!
