La Bufadora & City Tour

No Ensenada trip is complete without a visit to La Bufadora, the area's famous blowhole. During this Ensenada tour, you'll be face-to-face with this natural wonder that sprays water more than 100 feet into the air. Don't miss this unique Ensenada experience!

You'll be greeted by your guide at the pier and transported to La Bufadora, which is located roughly 20 miles from Ensenada. Then get ready to see one of the world's largest blow holes up close. The noise and sight of this marine geyser is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Every minute, the blowhole shoots out water and makes thunderous sounds. Have your camera handy!

After your 90-minute stop at La Bufadora and its surrounding flea market, you can either continue shopping in Ensenada's downtown area or head back to the ship with the tour. If you decide to stay downtown, you will have to find your way back to the pier; taxis are readily available in the area.

Great trip, great value

Tour was timely and really showed you a lot of different things. I liked how you really got to go into Mexico, see farming, see schools, and just get an idea of how life in Mexico was. Tour guide was great as well and talked just the right amount and knew when to let us rest.

Best Ever Tour

Pictures were sent to show exactly where we could meet the tour, so easy and right where they were suppose to be. Alex drove us and Esther gave a minute by minute tour on the way till we got to the Blowhole. Fascinating to watch, great videos then walked through a Mexican market. Wish we had had more time. We both bought Mexican blankets after bargaining with the owners, then had lunch at a small location right in front of the bus. Delicious tortilla's made right in front of you. Then we got some time to go to town. Shopped around and bought our Vanilla. (So cheap) I highly recommend this tour!!

Small group, friendly hosts!

We really enjoyed our outing with Ester and our bus driver (whose name I forgot). It was nice to have less than 10 people in our group. The shuttle van was comfortable. Ester narrated our 45-minute van trip to La Bufadora, telling us about the history and commerce of the Ensenada coastal region. At La Bufadora, she gave us info about navigating the marketplace. At the city, she gave clear parameters about which streets were safe to explore. She was the perfect hostess. We had been worried about walking off the cruise ship to find the group just outside the harbor (the Disney-sponsored large groups had buses waiting at the ship), but the walk was probably less than 5 minutes, and Ester was waiting for us just outside the harbor gates. We felt safe the whole time. We would definitely book with Shore Excursions Group again over a Disney cruise-sponsored tour, both for the price (less than half of the Disney price) and for the much-smaller group experience.

Excellent Tour, La Bufadora is Great!

My toddler and I really enjoyed the excursion to La Bufadora. Esther and Ramon were patient with us as we were a bit late trying to disembark from the ship (it was our first cruise). They took us on a circuitous route to the blowhole, which was nice. We gave them a tip at the end. Would definitely do it again.
