Magic of London and Tea
Begin the morning with a visit to St Paul's Cathedral, a masterpiece designed by Wren in 1673. Rebuilt after the Great Fire of London, its iconic dome has dominated the city skyline ever since. Over the centuries, the cathedral has hosted numerous significant events, including the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
From St. Paul's, you will make a photo stop outside Westminster Abbey before heading to The Mall to watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony. Watch as one of the King's Foot Guard Regiments marches from St. James Palace to Buckingham Palace accompanied by military music, dressed in their signature red tunics and bearskin hats.
Afterward, you'll have free time for lunch
After the lunch break, your journey continues to the Tower of London. Your guide will share captivating tales of this historic fortress and former royal palace. You'll have plenty of time to explore iconic sights such as the Crown Jewels, White Tower, Traitors Gate, the Armory, or the Bloody Tower. Keep an eye out for the famous ravens. Tradition has it that if the ravens leave the Tower, the monarchy will fall!
Next, take your seat for a cruise on the River Thames. During this one-hour journey, enjoy spectacular views of some of London's most famous landmarks. From the comfort of your seat, you'll take in sights like the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Shakespeare's Glove, St. Paul's Cathedral, The Shard, the Tower of London, and Tower Bridge. After your cruise, you'll be taken to Harrods, where you can indulge in the epitome of British tradition with a cream tea. Afternoon tea includes a home-baked scone with clotted cream, exclusive preserves, and your choice of tea from the tea gardens. As a special touch, a glass of Prosecco will be served on arrival. This is a London experience that cannot be missed! After tea, you are free to explore on your own.
Please Note: The Changing of the Guard takes place Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. If it is not taking place, you will still see Buckingham Palace. On Wednesdays, due to late opening at St. Paul's, the Guard Change is replaced with a photo stop at Buckingham Palace earlier in the day. On Sundays, St. Paul's has restricted viewing, so guests will have the opportunity to enter and enjoy part of the service.
