Great tour!

We loved this tour! Every stand we went to the food was excellent and it was great to support local small family run businesses in the marcato. We also enjoyed learning about the history of Mazatlan and seeing some of the city off the beaten track. I would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful Day in Mazatlan
June 16, 2022
I was nervous booking a tour with no reviews. My kids has their heart set on a food tour and we booked so late that the cruise ship had sold out. We were on the Carnival Panorama which was to dock 15 mins before our meeting time. That also stressed us out that we may miss the tour. While we were 10 min late, but what a pleasure to find Maaike waiting for us patiently. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. All of the family connected witb her. We had a wonderful personal off the beaten track tour meeting locals and tasting wonderful food. I’m still craving more torts. We were concerned about getting sick, but there was no chance. Maaike is a top rate owner/guide and it was the wonderful hidden gem. If we are ever back, we will definitely take her other tours.

Enjoyed the food and learning about Mercado
April 27, 2022
We really enjoyed the walking tour and food. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the town. We enjoyed the open food market. Be prepared to see real butcher markets. We really like the cheese stop, the juice drink stop, and the Mexican restaurant in the food market, and the dessert stop where they mixed all different fruits, nuts, coconut and blended in condensed milk. It was delicious. We also went to a gelato ice cream store off the beaten path. We also stopped at a restaurant and had a huge traditional bread pork sandwich. Way too much food but it was great!!!!
