Dolphin Encounter & Exclusive Island Shore Excursion

Play with dolphins during your own private island escape on this Nassau excursion! This is the best dolphin program you'll find around because you'll get to interact with these cool creatures right on the beach! Unlike similar excursions you may see, there's no waiting in an overcrowded pool or wasting time here on this Nassau excursion!

On this popular Nassau dolphin excursion, you'll be whisked away to a private island where you'll get to spend the day freely exploring a tropical paradise. When you first arrive, friendly staff members will provide you with a quick orientation about the dolphin encounter and help you fill out any necessary paperwork. And then the fun of your Nassau shore excursion begins! You'll wade out into the water until you're waist deep to greet your new dolphin buddy.

For approximately half an hour, the trainer will educate you on dolphin behavior and answer any of your questions. At the end of the encounter, you'll get a kiss from the dolphin and pose for a photo (available for purchase).

The rest of the day on the island can be spent however you'd like. Lay on the beach (lounge chair included!), go snorkeling in the beautiful waters or grab a refreshing drink - you can basically design your own adventure! Additional non-motorized water activities including snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent.

If you're looking for some relaxing beach time, umbrellas are available on the beach on a first come basis, and there is plenty of shade on one of our patios or bars.

If it's a tropical drink you're after, there are four delightfully different bars on the island, each with its own mood. One of the most popular is the Frozen Tropical Drink bar where frozen margaritas, daiquiris and pina coladas await you.

If you're feeling hungry, the market offers something for everyone, from small snacks to complete meals of fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps; and the only Starbucks on a private island!

Restrooms are located around the island as well as fresh water showers and foot baths. Don't worry about getting back in a hurry, the first departure from the island to downtown begins at 2:00 PM. Your tour representative on the island will schedule you accordingly to ensure you are back to your ship on time for re-boarding.

Please Note: For the welfare of the dolphins, loose items such as jewelry and cameras cannot be taken into the water during this Nassau dolphin excursion. Lockers will be provided during your interaction. You can capture your encounter forever by purchasing a photo provided on a CD by the local representative. Please note that this is NOT included in the price of the tour.

5 StarsThe best encounter I ever hadMay 21, 2018

We are a family of 4 with 2 boys who loved to hold the dolphin and be so close to it. The photos were taken with multiple poses, but they sell them in a bundle which was costly. They should sell at least only videos or photos, which they dont as of now.

A close encounter with dolphins is such that words are insufficient. Contact with these intelligent creatures makes one realise the wonder of nature and gives one an experience like no other. Add a brilliant scenic island on which to relax and it can't get much better.

Definitely worth the money! My kids loved the dolphin encounter. The meeting location was easy to find. Staff was pleasant and island was clean. The food is extremely expensive! Also leaving the island has set times for boat shuttles... felt like hostage to the island by time we left

This dolphin encounter was fantastic. The wait between getting off the big boat for the transport to arrive to take us to the island was a little long, so I would advise to be adventurous and walk leisurely, visit some of the shops, and get a drink on the way to the meeting place. The ride over to the island was very pleasant and just gorgeous. Once we got to the island we played on the beach until it was our time with the dolphins. Being with the dolphin was just wonderful. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot from him. This is a more affordable way to get up close and personal with a dolphin if you can't/don't want to pay for a swim with the dolphin. The pictures were pricey, but the best deal is to buy the CD with all your photos and print your own. I think this excursion was well run, on time, and worth the money. I booked about 2 weeks before the cruise through Costco, which was a much better deal than buying on the cruise boat. I recommend!

This was a decent trip. Getting to the island was VERY sketchy. It said it started at 9:30am, however, we never boarded a boat until 10am. And make sure you eat before you go to the island the food is WAY overpriced. Other than that, the beach was very clean, the water was gorgeous, and the dolphin experience was very cool. Be prepared to pay for the pictures. They cost as much as the excursion!
