On your Blue Mountains Nature tour near Sydney, leave the stress of the city behind and escape to the majestic Blue Mountains. Pet koalas, visit the Three Sisters, take a nature walk through the rainforest, and ride the steepest incline railway in Australia.
On your drive from Sydney, your guide will bring you to the Blue Mountains and Scenic World, where you'll have a panoramic view of the Three Sisters, and to ride the Scenic Railway, known as the world's steepest incline railway. You will also ride the Scenic Skyway and the Scenic Cableway. The Scenic Skyway has great views of the Three Sisters, and the Scenic Cableway is known as the steepest aerial cable car in Australia. Both rides take you over the rainforest of the Jamison Valley.
The Three Sisters is a rock formation that stands 900 meters high. The legend of the Three Sisters states that three sisters, named Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo, fell in love with three men from a nearby tribe. However, they could not get married because it was forbidden by tribal law. The brothers, unhappy with the law, decided to use force and capture the sisters. After a major battle, the sisters were transformed into stone. During your tour, keep this story in mind; it'll allow you to appreciate the legend behind the formation. Stopping at a vantage point, you'll be treated to a spectacular view of the three sisters.
Departing from the vantage point, you'll stop at the picturesque mountain village of Leura. There you'll find a perfect mix of shops and gardens. Enjoy some free time to explore the village or have lunch on your own. You'll also stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park. Winner of the best Major Tourist Attraction award in 2005 and 2009, the park offers you the unique opportunity to pet koalas and see kangaroos. You will come face to face with wallabies, dingoes, Tasmanian devils, and even emus.

We chose this tour because we had to be off our ship by 9am and our flight wasn’t until 10pm. It was a great way to see the beautiful mountains and interact with cool Down Under animals. The bus could even store our luggage with ease. The driver was excellent and very knowledgeable, he even figured out the best way to get to the airport at the end of the tour. However, I wouldn’t do this particular tour if your flight leaves before 9pm. If you are not flying out and are staying at a hotel, this is a great option to get a full day of fun. Totally recommend it!

Tour too long for our time onshore. We should never have been sold this tour. We thought there was 100% guarantee to get back to ship on time so we didn't worry. Driver made special trip to get us back. This was a big deal!!

If you want to see more than another large city this is trip for you. The Blue mountains are a must see and include a variety of transportation modes. The zoo was not overcrowded which gave plenty of hands on time with the koalas and wallabies. The fact that it was feeding time for the animals made even more exciting.
