Odescalchi and Orsini Castle
The Odelscalchi Castle, completed in 1485 by the Orsini family, is an imposing Renaissance castle perched on the shores of Lake Bracciano. It's strategic geographical position caused bitter fighting among the noble Colonna and Borgia families, to the point where Pope Alexander VI Borgia confiscated it in 1496.
