The fun begins as your friendly guide picks you up for a ride out to Orient Beach, the longest beach on the island. This seashore has a wide range of beach bars and restaurants nearby and enough water toys and games to satisfy kids of all ages. Take to the waters on a jet ski or go paragliding (own expense), or just enjoy a refreshing swim in the clear blue water. The more adventurous guests can amble over to the clothing optional section of the beach.

Arrive at Maho Beach around midday just in time to see the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 as they glide across the beach and over your head on their approach to the nearby Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). Take a seat at the Sunset Beach Bar and Grill for a cool drink or bite to eat (own expense) while you listen to the control tower communicating with arriving aircraft over the live feed. Then stroll along the pure white sand or stretch out on the beach and relax as the sound of the ocean waves roll your cares away. Your 4.5 hour tour includes complimentary water, soft drinks, beers, and guava berry rum punch. Achieve official St. Maarten Beach Bum status when you sign up today.

St Maarten excursion

Bus driver was very professional & friendly. Gave interesting information of island. Orient Beach was good - not great. Maho Beach was extremely crowded but it was fun to see the airplanes going overhead. I would recommend using Shore Excursions over the cruise line excursions.

Thrill seekers adventure

Wow! I saw all the photos on the internet and thought it would be "kinda cool", but once I got there, I couldn't stop videoing planes coming in. You can tell when a jet is coming because you can see its lights way off in the distance (about 5 minutes before it comes over the beach). Make sure you get in the water or else you will have people in front of you. Took me several shots to get one without anyone in it and it was worth it. I would definitely go back. We checked out the driftwood pub at the end of the beach afterwards and it was a great place for a drink!

Are driver was great. Had a nice drive to Orient beach which was very seaweedy this year. No one’s fault! Then off to Maho beach which was awesome. Perfect time of day to see lots of planes.

Orient and Maho Beach Tour
January 26, 2023
This was so fun. There were only 5 of us on this tour. We spent a few hours on Orient Beach- we sat in the sand, but the chairs were $15 per chair. You have to sit away from the chairs, but it was nice, we were right in front of the ocean. There are shops and rest right there if you want. You can opt for the "other beach" right there- but it's more than just topless. We then went to Maho beach for about 1 1/2 hours and watched the small and LARGE planes pass over us. It was amazing. The beach is quite crowded, but we found a place to sit down. The swimming had a current, but there were people in the water. I stayed out to take pics and enjoy the view. There were sodas and water on the van. Driver was very friendly and flexible. We grabbed a quick pastry from the French bakery next to the beach and it was Yummy!
