Nova Scotia's Peggy's Cove

Nova Scotia's Peggy's Cove
Sit back and make your way to one of Nova Scotia's most iconic sites in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus, which will bring you right to the heart of Peggy's Cove. Tall and creamy white with a bright red cap, the lighthouse at Peggy's Cove is the most famous lighthouse in Canada, and Peggy's Cove itself is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Nova Scotia.
The hour long drive to Peggy's Point is a beautiful one. On this Halifax tour, you'll go past small coastal towns, with beautiful views to the ocean. The landscape as you approach Peggy's Cove is almost prehistoric in its rugged beauty. Granite rises and falls like huge, gentle waves turned to stone, tumbling into the Atlantic in a beautiful crash of nature.
You'll have about an hour and a half to explore Peggy's Cove. A short walk down the road from the lighthouse and gift shop, sits the quaint, picture-perfect fishing village with trawlers and dories casting out from a small dock, and several shops with handcrafted souvenirs and pewter trinkets.
Visit the William E. deGarthe Gallery and Museum on Peggy's Point Road. There you'll find a collection of deGarthe's work, stunning paintings inspired by the maritime scenery and coastal communities where he lived. You can't miss deGarthe's Fishermen's Monument, a stunning carving in the granite of the cove on the roadside leading to the lighthouse. After admiring the monument, you will make your way back to Halifax.
