Pre Cruise North Shore Tour
Before boarding your cruise ship, see some of the beautiful city of Vancouver. See the stunning nature that surrounds the city of Vancouver and more on this incredible tour of one of Canada's most visited and exciting cities. With a professional guide aboard an air conditioned bus, journey to see the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain, and the amazing temperate rainforest of Vancouver's North Shore on your incredible Vancouver sightseeing tour.
Begin your tour with a slow drive over the Lion's Gate Bridge, which spans the entrance to Vancouver's port. The bridge offers unparalleled views of the harbor and English Bay beyond.
Once across to the North Shore, continue on to your next stop at the Capilano Suspension Bridge park. Trek along the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which is raised 230 feet above the Capilano River and crosses a span of 450 feet. Enjoy the park's Treetop Adventures and venture across a series of elevated suspension bridges while walking among magnificent Douglas fir trees that cover the forest floor. While on your North Shore tour in Capilano Suspension Bridge park, brave the Cliff Walk. Suspended walkways meander through rainforest vegetation and jut out from granite cliffs. Many of the high, narrow walkways feature glass floors, which are all that separate you from the magnificent canyons hundreds of feet below.
Next, you will ascend 3,700 feet above Vancouver as you ride up the Grouse Mountain skyride. From this impressive height, view the city, Pacific Ocean, and Gulf Islands below as they get smaller and smaller as you ride higher and higher up the mountain. Once at the top, take the opportunity to enjoy Grouse Mountain's many attractions. Depending on the season you travel, you will see lumberjack shows, grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife, and even theatre presentations.
Vancouver North Shore highlights are yours to encounter on this exciting Canada tour. Enjoy the convenience of hotel pickup and the expertise of your guide as you explore the city and create travel memories you'll never forget.
Please Note: The order of stops may vary. This is a transfer tour from a hotel to the cruise pier, and can accommodate luggage. Please include a note when traveling with over two pieces of large luggage, to ensure the proper amount of space is available.
We loved the tour of Vancouver. Chris was a wonderful guide. Our bags ended up at the ship....as did we...with no problem what so ever!

What a great way to kick off an Alaska cruise! We had never been to Vancouver but thought we could see a bit of the city on our own so the North Shore Tour seemed a good way to get out of the city and start getting into nature. Good idea! We loved our day In this beautiful place. Loved the trails and the suspension bridge and the cliff walk and all the totem poles. And the two bears were amazing! So glad we did this pre-cruise excursion!

Very nice tour, on time pick up with clear pre-pickup instructions. The right amount of time at the Capilano Skybridge area, which was gorgeous and so interesting! Not quite as great at Grouse Mountain- a written handout about the shows and offerings there would have been helpful. We just wandered around and missed seeing everything except the hibernating bears. I do recall the shows/exhibits were mentioned but it is too difficult to recall after only one quick mention, plus not knowing where to find them. Bus driver very safe and knowledgeable about the area, pointing out sights as we passed them. I would do this tour again!
The weather was wretched--rained all day--but the guide brought the trip to life.

What a beautiful day for a train ride! We were able to see all the glaciers because there were no clouds in the sky, and the trip was a great step back in time. I couldn't believe the trail these gold prospectors walked with their "grub stake" to make a better life for themselves. What a tough life, and so few rewarded with the precious finding of gold. Good narrator on board -- very informative.
