Meet your private guide at the pier and receive a warm welcome to Maui! Your private tour will start with a drive through Kahului and up the hillside to the historic plantation town of Wailuku located in the shadow of the lush base of the ancient Hale Mahina volcano. Nestled at the foot of the dramatic West Maui Mountains, this plantation town was once the center of all activity before tourism set in. View the charming wooden storefronts around Market Street, showcasing dozens of family businesses, many of which have been in continuous operation for generations.

Continue through the town to Iao Valley, a lush rainforest valley that is home to the iconic Iao Needle. Due to many years of erosion and rainfall, the valley has become a stunning lush green landscape with a river running through the valley floor and is home to many different species of flora and fauna. You will stop at a botanical garden to learn all about the valley, its first settlers, and a bitter battle that took place here. The Iao Valley was once a sacred burial ground for Hawaiian chiefs.

From there you will head to Maui Tropical Plantation, a 60-acre working plantation that is the largest on the island. Have your camera ready to capture photos of beautiful flowers and tranquil ponds, then check out the small pineapple farm or relax with coffee under a Banyan tree. This stop will offer an overview of Hawaii's famous fruits and plants where you can stop and smell the flowers, taste the fresh fruit, and hear the stories that make Hawaii so magical.

Conclude your tour at the Maui Ocean Center, a 3-acre aquarium and oceanography center that boasts the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere (entrance fee not included). Stand at the 750,000-gallon tank full of sharks and stingrays and be sure to visit the 3D Humpback Whale Experience that allows you an up close and personal look at these gentle giants.

Renowned worldwide for many things like its beauty, atmosphere, history, and never-ending supply of incredible attractions offer an experience that embodies the essence of the island. See the best of Maui when you book this special private half-day tour today and enjoy a one-on-one experience for your small group of family and or friends.

Please Note: The Iao Valley will be closed from August 2022 to January 2023. Your tour guide will provide you with options for a replacement stop. Vehicles available for this tour accommodate groups of up to 6 guests maximum. Groups with more than 6 guests will need to book multiple vehicles, there are 2 vehicles available in total. Best excursion of the trip
April 30, 2023
Didn't know what to expect when we came off the ship and was met by our driver in a mini-van. But after 10 minutes we knew that we were going to have a great time. The excursion was planned for 3-hours but we hit if off so well that we ended up visiting areas around the island for 5-hours. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and took us places that we may never had gone. Final stop was at a beach near the airport and had a great chance to see 40 sea turtles on the beach. Highly recommend this experience

Amazing tour of Maui
March 12, 2023
Nick was a wonderful ambassador to Maui. He was very knowledgeable of the history and accommodating so we didn’t waste time in traffic. He took us on more untraveled roads to see the local culture and didn’t rush us on our journey. Thank you Nick for an amazing tour of Maui. Clare, Mike, Daphne & Harry

This was my 7th time to the Hawaii islands. Our guide went out of his way to show us a good time. We told him that we spent our honeymoon on Maui 2 years before. My daughter & son in law was on this tour with us. The guide took us by where we stayed on our honeymoon. He was very informative. He made sure we saw turtles & whales ( which wasn’t even listed as a part of the tour).

Great driver and fun trip
June 15, 2022
The tour started late, but we had the vehicle and driver to ourselves so we could go at our leisure which was amazing. We had fun on this excursion and learned a lot about the island from our driver Nick. The aquarium was well kept and had nice exhibits, the pineapple plantation was pretty but we didn't stay long (it was too hot & we didn't do the tram ride), and the stop at Iao Valley was wonderful (we walked down to the water to cool off and then up to see the Iao Needle). Our driver even made an extra stop for a scenic view for us to make up for the morning pickup mix-up (even though it wasn't his fault) and late start. It was awesome overall.
