Flickering lamplight, cobblestone streets, and shadowed alleyways set the stage for a chilling journey into Vancouver's earliest and most gruesome history. This private evening walking experience through Gastown uncovers stories of disaster, disease, murder, and survival hidden beneath the city's modern facade.

The darkened streets of Gastown reveal the terror of the Great Fire that consumed the city within minutes, the devastating outbreaks of smallpox that haunted early Vancouver, and the disturbing unsolved murder of John Bray, a man who wandered the streets for weeks after being shot three times in the head. Every story is rooted in documented Vancouver history drawn directly from city archives, blending historical fact with immersive storytelling.

Historic landmarks and hidden corners of Gastown become part of the unfolding experience. The Victorian Hotel, Vancouver's oldest hotel, stands as a reminder of the city's rough beginnings, while the Gastown Steam Clock marks the heart of a neighborhood shaped by tragedy and transformation. Narrow alleyways, Gaoler's Mews, and the back streets of Water Street create an atmospheric backdrop where the past feels unsettlingly close.

Designed for adult audiences, this private experience combines history and theatrical storytelling into a dramatic journey through Vancouver's darker side. The story builds toward a powerful finale in the heart of Maple Tree Square, leaving behind the feeling of having stepped directly into the swirling lamplight and murky shadows of Gastown's forgotten past.
