Private Pisa and Florence Highlights Tour
During this Livorno excursion, enjoy dazzling views of the city from Piazzale Michelangelo, which sits on a hilltop on the south bank of the Arno river. A 10-minute drive will bring you into the city center, where you can visit Palazzo Vecchio, the grand town hall with it's soaring bell tower. Outside, in the Piazza della Signoria, you'll find the Fountain of Neptune surrounded by grinning satyrs and wild sea horses. The piazza also has a reproduction of Michaelangelo's David. And, of course, you can go see the David himself at Accademia di Belle Arti, or see Botticelli's The Birth of Venus at Uffizi Gallery. Florence is the home to many treasured pieces of art in its bevy of wonderful museums and galleries.
As the cradle of the Renaissance, and a true jewel of Tuscany, Florence is, of course, also a great place to eat and shop. Treat yourself to a wonderful lunch (not included) and some of Tuscany's finest wine, and search the stores for some handmade treasures or brand name clothing from Italy's top fashion houses, like Prada and Armani.
The return trip will bring you to Pisa, where you'll have free time to visit the iconic Leaning Tower and the Square of Miracles, where the Cathedral and Baptistery welcome thousands of visitors every year.
Please Note: Admission and entrance fees are not included in the tour price.

We wanted to go up the leaning tower so booked the private tour which gave us the time & flexibility to do so by pre-arranging with tour company. Our private tour guide Carlo was fantastic. Kids really enjoyed the tower & Florence was terrific.

Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable of the areas and we enjoyed our tour very much. Florence was just lovely and on our return to the ship we went through the countryside and it was absolutely stunning! We were very pleased with our driver and the entire day! Would recommend this tour.
Our driver/tour guide, Davide, was excellent. He drove us to Pisa and Florence, telling us about the countryside and the cities. He answered our questions and was very personable. We had just the right amount of time in Pisa to visit the tower. He drove us to a beautiful overlook of Florence and then into the heart of the city. He recommended a delicious restaurant for lunch. He even offered to drive us to a Tuscan vineyard where we enjoyed a tasting. We were really pleased with our own private van that held our family of 6. I would highly recommend Davide as a guide. The only glitch (not Davide's fault) was that the tour company told us to meet at the cruise terminal. That was incorrect, as the driver met at the ship.
