Private Pisa and Florence
Spend the day in the beautiful Tuscan countryside as you explore the cities of Pisa and Florence, considered by many the Cradle of the Renaissance.
The small city of Florence sits on the banks of the Arno River and is incomparable in terms of its art and architecture. Make your way down into the heart of Florence with your expert guide who will take you to the must-see sites including the Piazza Santa Croce.
The impressive Basilica di Santa Croce is the largest Franciscan church in the world and contains the remains of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli. While in Florence you will also see the Piazza della Signoria with the Palazzo Vecchio; the Palazo Pitti, one of the homes of the Medici; and the elegant Ponte Vecchio (the old bridge). The Uffizi Gallery, known for its tantalizing collection of Renaissance paintings, is always high on tourists must-do bucket lists as well as Piazzale Michelangelo, a public square with a breathtaking panoramic view of Florence. You might be able to stop in at the Accademia Museum to see the Statue of David, time permitting.
In the university town of Pisa you will head to the Pisa Cathedral, a Romanesque medieval church with its famous Leaning Tower. Visit the Baptistry and the world famous Leaning Tower; the tower has a 4-degree lean thanks to an unsettling of the soil underneath it, giving onlookers the impression that the tower if falling.

Leonardo was our guide. We had rented a private vehicle for 6 of us. He took us on a tour of Pisa and then Florence through the Tuscany countryside. He was knowledgeable and entertaining. He also took us to an unscheduled stop at a winery where we tasted (and purchased) some excellent Chianti. Highly recommend Leonardo as your guide.

Stephano was our driver for the day! He was very polite, planned our day according to our wishes and made the best use of our time. We are a family of 5. He explained to us about the history and places we would see. Our daughters have studied these areas extensively and were very excited about seeing them. Both Pisa and Florence are amazing. It would take days to see everything in detail. We seen all the highlights, even with a small child. Would highly recommend this tour with a private driver! They drive you directly to each place to miss crowds yet also give you free time to explore as wanted. Thank you for the memories Stephano!
Highly recommend! Leonardo took great care of our family. Two adults and two teens. Van was spotless and the microphone helped ensure we could hear his details of what we were seeing. He helped plan around crowds and took us to great photo spots as well. Fabulous tour.
