Roatan Zip, Eco Walk and Beach Break

This Roatan Triple Play is a highlight reel all by itself, combining zipping, eco-walking and a beach break, all in one! Wow!

After meeting your driver at the pier, you will make your way to the island's West End, approximately a 30-minute drive, where your exciting, dual-cable zip excursion awaits. Lockers are available for your beach bag ($1 US per locker. Lockers can hold more than one bag)

After suiting up for your Roatan excursion, your professional instructor will take you through Zip instruction and safety to make sure everyone is at ease before starting the adventure. Afraid of heights? Never Zipped before? This is not a problem. They will walk you through every step of the way until you are Zipping on your own.

Then it's time to zip. On a course set out over more than 25 acres of lush Roatan scenery, you will Zip just under two miles of cable between numerous platforms. Zips range from a short 40 feet (it will surprise you) to more than 1250 feet at heights from 20 to more than 40 feet from the ground. Depending on the number in your group, your zip time will last between 50 and 70 minutes. New or experienced, young or old, by the end, you will be wanting more. Local staff will be on hand to take pictures for those wanting to purchase "proof" they actually did it.

What goes down, must go back up. Setting out with your guide, you will set out on a walk through the raw jungle habitat back to your starting point, walking over paved paths, wooden steps, and suspension bridges while keeping an eye out for tropical flowers, "Tarzan" vines, birds, lizards, iguanas, fruit and nut trees and amazing views. This is a great trip for photographers!

The suspension bridges have a width of four feet and a capacity for 10 people. They vary in length from 150 feet to 200 feet, making them the longest and strongest bridges in the Western Caribbean. They range in height from 20 to 85 feet above the ground. The walking portion of the tour lasts about 50 minutes and covers approximately one mile in distance, uphill.

Upon reaching the top, you will meet your driver and you will drive to the beach where you can splash in the sea at nearby West Bay. Here you will have approximately 1 1/2 hours to beach walk, swim, rent snorkel gear, or just zone out in a sunbeam under a palm tree or at the nearby beach bar and restaurant, where food and cold drinks can be purchased. Beach chairs are also available for rental. All too soon, it is time to return to reality. Your driver will meet you for the drive back to the cruise pier. Guests wishing to stay longer at the beach will be responsible for their own transportation back to the pier.

Amazing excursion for the money
March 25, 2020
This tour was fantastic. We had a provided taxi ride from our port to the zip and Eco walk location. The taxi itself was very nice and the tour guide was nice and informative. The zip lining was awesome and had great views. There were 13 zip lines all together. They all were also very safe and secure zip lines ranging from 500 to 1100 feet long! After the zip lines we were drove back to the start where we could buy alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages for a reasonable price. We then did the Eco walk which was awesome and the tour guide could spot just about anything and was super informative. Afterwards we were taken to the resort which had a nice restaurant and a large pool. It also had a large beach with plenty of things to do such as fishing or snorkeling witch costed extra. We had about 3 hours there and then had our same taxi driver take us back to the ship.

Roatan Zip, Eco Walk and Beach Break
January 23, 2020
We had a great time! They gave us a private driver that took us to the zipline/walk and beach. She asked us how long we wanted to be at the beach for and showed us around a bit. Our zipline and eco walk tour guides were amazing! They made sure you felt safe and secure the whole time and did a great job entertaining. This was one of our groups best excursions!

Eco walk was boring, nothing to see beside bridges and few bugs.

Would do this again

The ziplining was better than I had anticipated! The jungle was pretty and you could see the ocean from afar. The guides were great! My daughter was afraid but, they made her feel safe and helped her along. The eco walk was ok, there was alot of suspension bridges to walk over which was neat if your not used to doing that. The beach break was nice, didnt have enough time there but, the beach had nice white sand and the water was clear.

Wonderful Zip Line Tour
November 01, 2018
This was a great excursion! The zip line was well guided, especially for our 5 year old that was attached to a guide the entire time. For our group of 11 (including 5 children), we had 4 guides the whole time. The 12 and 10 year old could do the lines themselves the whole time, but a few of the lines required our 7 & 8 year old to have guides. Our 5 year old needed one the entire time. We never felt unsafe or scared at all! The Eco Walk was okay, we learned about the jungle and plants used for medicine, but not much wildlife was seen. They then took us to a local resort area that had a nice pool area and restaurants. The water was nice, but the beach was overrun with sea weed. We stuck to the pool that was nicely shaded and fun for the kids. Food is pricey, but if you leave the little pool area and walk down the alley next to it, there are little food vendors in the shops that will sell hotdogs, sodas, waters, etc. far cheaper than the restaurants and bars in the pool area.

So much fun! One of the highlights of our trip!

We loved this tour!! It was amazing zip-lining over forests and then going back through them on the eco walk. Zipline guides were cautious, helpful, and fun. I highly recommend choosing this excursion (with the ecowalk) if you love nature or learning more about the culture (i.e. what plants they use for medicine, local animals, etc.). The beach was cute -- bring some extra money to buy bracelets, etc. if you want! Also, bring A LOT of water. They have lockers on site for your stuff during ziplining which cost $2.
