Your next stop will be a delicious one as you arrive at Barry's Bay Cheese Factory for a tasting of some of their wonderful local cheeses.

Continue to Coombe Farm for a guided tour, witness sheepdogs at work, and a sheep shearing demonstration. This farm has been in the ownership of one family for several generations and runs several thousand sheep over an extensive hill block. At the farm, you will witness the sheepdog round up the sheep and bring them into the sheep pens where you can touch and photograph them. The farmer will explain about the sheep breeds, the wool, and meat before shearing a sheep in the woolshed. The afternoon visit will end with afternoon tea provided by the farmer's wife on the homestead.

You will end the day with a return to Akaroa township where the tour concludes back at the port area.
