Skyrail and Train Combo
In just 90 minutes you'll wind through the Kuranda rainforest on a one-way Skyrail trip over the rainforest canopy. Your Skyrail experience takes you over and through ancient tropical rainforest and includes time at two rainforest mid-stations. At Skyrail's Red Peak Station, knowledgeable rangers will provide complimentary guided boardwalk tours every 20 minutes, while at Barron Falls Station you can see the mighty Barron Falls up close and visit the Rainforest Interpretation Center. Whether you want to take in the panoramic vistas from lookouts, stroll among the historical displays, or visit the Rainforest Interpretation Center, you will leave each station knowing more than when you arrived.
In the small village of Kuranda, find locally made arts, sparkling opals, or even a didgeridoo or two in the markets. Treat yourself to a snack or refreshments at the cafes and restaurants in the rainforest village, or visit some Kuranda wildlife parks for an additional fee paid directly to the attraction.
Your return trip on the same day will be on the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Built more than 100 years ago, the Kuranda Scenic Railway cuts a path through Cairns and Kuranda, through soaring tropical mountain ranges, lush forest, and cascading waterfalls. Don't miss out on this Cairns tour that shows you the region's natural beauty by air and by land.

We really enjoyed both experiences in Cairns, Australia. The Skyrail provided spectacular views of the rainforest. It ended in Karanda, a quaint village where we tasted kangaroo, croc & emu, bought Australian opal earrings and other souvenirs. My hubby bought a souvenir hat at the train station. We learned a lot about Australia in the large pix on the station 1 platform. Very informative. Great trip.

Good Value. The Skyrail was very good, but the train ride was longer and less scenic than expected.

The Skyrail and Train Combo was a wonderful way to view the Cairns area both from the mountain and during the bus ride to the Skyrail facility. Our driver was a typical Aussie bloke full of interesting stories of the area and the rain forest was fascinating, as was the village of Kuranda. And how they built the railway still fascinates!
Bus transfer was a very short two-blocks from the cruise port; and drop-off was right at the port. This was the same excursion being offered by the cruise-line; only less expensive.

The Shore Excursion delivered everything they promised. and when compared to the same excursion offered by the cruise ship, this was a far better value. Highly recommended and will use them again in the future.
