Eco Walk and Suspension Bridges

To make your Caribbean vacation complete, explore the raw jungle and lush canopy of Roatan on a stimulating Eco-walk.

After meeting your driver at the pier for this Roatan excursion, you will make your way to the island's West End, approximately a 30-minute drive, where your jungle exploration takes place.

Setting out with your guide, you will descend down into the raw jungle of Roatan Island, walking over paved paths, wooden steps, and suspension bridges while keeping an eye out for tropical flowers, "Tarzan" vines, birds, lizards, iguanas, fruit and nut trees and amazing views. This is a great trip for photographers!

The suspension bridges have a width of four feet and a capacity for 10 people. They vary in length from 150 to 200 feet, making them the longest and strongest bridges in the Western Caribbean. They range in height from 20 to 85 feet above the ground. The walking portion of the tour lasts about 40 minutes and covers approximately one mile in distance. When you reach the bottom, transportation is available to take you back up to the top where you can meet up with the transfer back to the cruise pier. The more active can retrace their steps.

Please note: Infants are allowed in a carrier backpack only up to 11 months are free of charge.

One of a kind experience

I was the only one on the excursion and had an excellent english speaking guide. He pointed out all the different plants as we walked above and through the jungle. What each plant was used for medicinally - even today - and which animals also ate the fruit or leaves. I was utterly fascinated with the information provided. Loved all the suspension bridges as well on the 2 mile hike. I highly recommend this excursion for every age!!!

Great Experience!

This was a great excursion. To begin, it was very easy to find the meeting point at the port. The helpful team directed us to the correct van and guide. We met a nice couple from another ship and it was just the 4 of us for the ride. My mom and I had a guide to ourselves who was very informative and sensitive to the fact that my mom has two artificial knees. It was a great challenge and we loved how beautiful the jungle was. Our guide was lovely and hospitable and ensured we got back in the correct van. Our van driver then took us the long way back to the ship so we could see more of the beautiful island. I would recommend this excursion 100%!

Our driver and guide were wonderful. The only downfall was that the provided transportation was for several different groups. We ended up waiting a lot for the other groups to finish their excursions.

Walk was very picturesque, the guide was very informative on the different plants and the uses for them. Only draw back was the walk was a little shorter than I would have liked. The bus driver as also very knowledgeable as he guided us through Roatan

1 1/2 hour easy walk

Same point of destination as the zip line. Same company. We were a small group and enjoyed the 7 well made suspension bridge tour through the jungle with a local guide who spoke English well. A sunny day in the shaded trees where we saw lots of termite nests and a few small lizards. Not rushed. Plenty of time to take photos. Overhead zip liners could be seen and heard. Priced appropriately. I would have added a beach break or zip line to extend our visit next time.

Jungle Walk

We were expecting this to be more of a tree-top walk but, at just above ground level, it was probably better as none of us really like heights. It turned out that our family of three were the only ones who booked this tour so we had a very personal service. Our guide, Ovania, was very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the area. We were very well looked after. Would definitely recommend.
