The Best of Holland and Madurodam Tour

This full-day tour of the North and South of Holland is a great way to get to know the history and feel of The Netherlands in just one day. Visit Volendam, Marken, the Hague, and Delft all in one comprehensive and fun-filled tour.

Begin your Dutch adventure by meeting your friendly and professional guide. Travel in a comfortable coach bus out of Amsterdam and into Holland's lush countryside. In Marken, you'll see how delicious Dutch cheese and the iconic wooden clog shoes are made. Of course, no Holland tour would be complete without a visit to the windmill village de Zaanse Schans, with its characteristic green wooden houses. Your Volendam tour offers harbor views complete with beautiful old fishing boats, so important to traditional Dutch culture. You'll have time to visit the cheese factory or have lunch on your own. Remember to bring a camera because there will be many photo opportunities.

Your tour of Holland will also include a visit to the 17th-century city of Delft, which has been known for centuries for its iconic blue and white pottery. This lovely town is lined with beautiful canals and offers a truly Dutch experience. From Delft, your tour continues with a stop at the Hague, where the Dutch government resides and where the International Court of Justice is located. Explore Binnenhof, one of the world's oldest active House of Parliament, then snap a photo at King Willem-Alexander's working palace. This modern metropolis is a must-see for visitors to the Netherlands. One of the most fun attractions on this Netherlands tour is the amazing miniature city found in Madurodam. There you will encounter models of several typical Dutch cities built on a 1:25 scale. You will be able to admire traditional Dutch architecture from a bird's eye view.

Journey outside Amsterdam for a day trip to see the best sights in the Northern and Southern halves of Holland on this fun and informative Dutch tour.

We loved seeing some of the things you automatically think of related to The Netherlands: historic windmills, Delft pottery factory, canals, beautiful rural countryside, etc. Did not disappoint.

Introduction to Holland Tour
July 30, 2018
We thought this tour was a great value. We covered the countryside, visited some working windmills, a clog-shoe factory, and a cheese factory. Drove through Hague, visited the Delft factory and Madurodam. Much was squeezed in this two-part tour. Great Holland experience!

Jam packed day!

A lot to pack into one day. We caught a ride at our hotel which was great!! It's a very full day of touring. Loved the Delft factory and the windmills. Would have liked more time at the windmills. My husband really enjoyed Madurodam.

Terrific Day Tour of Holland
August 21, 2017
We thoroughly enjoyed our full day bus tour from Amsterdam. We loved the tiny seaside villages with nice shops and wonderful seafood. The stop to visit windmills is a must-see in Holland. The tour of the Delft factory was interesting, and the old town in Delft was just beautiful. We also had a nice ferry ride and got to see how wooden shoes are made. All-in-all, a wonderful tour and well worth the price.

Lots of lovely places
August 10, 2017
Were seen but time was too short in any of them. Not enough time to eat in the restaurants and still see towns. Too many places packed into one very long (13 hours) day.
