Restrictions This tour takes place in historical areas and, therefore, is not wheelchair accessible. Guests must be able to walk on paved as well as cobblestone surfaces. There are steps and steep curbs in some areas. This tour is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties or those who use partly-motorized vehicles or walkers. For security reasons bags and backpacks are not allowed inside St. Mark's Basilica. The Basilica is sometimes closed unexpectedly due to high water or religious ceremonies. On those occasions when St. Mark's Basilica is open with high water, skip-the-line tickets will not be accepted, as all visitors have access to the church through only one door.
