Beach Horseback Ride and Tubing

Beach Horseback Riding and Tubing Shore Trip
Take our Beach Horseback Riding and White River Tubing Tour and two things are certain: you'll have the time of your life, and you'll never want to return to civilization!
After being picked up at the pier for your Falmouth cruise excursion, you will drive to the corral approximately 40 minutes away. After saddling up, you will set out with your trained tour guide for a scenic countryside trail ride through wooded areas, where the Taino Indians used to hunt for food. Learn about the culture of these first islanders, their beliefs, habits, and existence, before Columbus landed and the island was colonized under the Spanish flag.
Ride through a natural wetland, shaded by almond and coconut trees, and see the excavations carried out by archaeologists, keen to uncover the deep-rooted history of this area.
On arrival at a stretch of deserted beach, you will strip down to your bathing suits, while the saddles are removed from the horses. You will then set out on a bareback horse ride experience in the Caribbean Sea, an experience not to be missed. Total time with the horses is approximately 90 minutes. Time in the water is approximately 10-15 minutes.
The return ride takes you along the deserted beach, where herons and other water birds fish in the shallow waters; through the mangroves, which hide the remains of an 18th- century warehouse; and by an ancient waterwheel that powered the old sugar mill on this former sugar plantation.
You will then drive to the White River, where you will be given a tube for a lazy float downstream with your guide. A stop will be made where you can swing on a rope and fall in the river before continuing on. Your driver will safeguard your belongings during the trip, and will meet you at the end of the river for the return drive to Falmouth. Float takes 45-50 minutes.

This was a great excursion. We had a guide ride with us in the van and tell us all about Jamaica. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. We were then dropped off to horseback ride. The guides were wonderful! We were then picked up with the guide and dropped off to go tubing.... a lot of fun and you feel like you are in the midddle of the rain forest! We were then picked up and dropped off in an area to go shopping. On our way back to the port we stopped at a local jerk chicken place that was the best!!!!! This tour was small which was awesome! I would never book through the cruise ship for an excursion...only through Priceline!

What a refreshing way to spend a day. A nice horseback ride through the woods and then running in the ocean! It felt pretty adventurous to those of us who aren't incredibly athletic. The tubing was also fun, but realize that you definitely will get water splashed in your face. It's not just a lazy river ride.

My granddaughters and I chose this tour out of Falmouth, Jamaica. Our guide was well acquainted with Jamaica. The fellows that work with the horses, were exceptionally good at getting newbies, like my one granddaugther comfortable on her horse. The main guide stayed with her until she realized she was fine. We rode down a trail to the beach, heard about an ancient sugar mill, and then waited for the group head of us, and as they went out into the water, we talked with the lady who gave us a small sample of Jamaican food. And the girls bought some small souvenirs. The horses were lively enough not to be nags, and gentle enough for all to enjoy the ride, especially when we trotted them through the water. We all were very happy with our horseback riding experience. And although we put bug stuff on, there appeared to be few bugs around. The tubing was also delightful, and very refreshing after riding horses. Also a delight experience.

The excursion itself was great; starting with the van ride and the tour guide and driver on the van, riding the horse through land that had historical value and getting a history lesson (although the horse ride is nice without the history if that is not your thing), riding the horse in the water, and then the tubing. The only issue I had was the number of "guides"; although tipping is not required it is customary and should be done since this is their job (if you liked the service). We loved the service but on this one tour we had 6 guides and extras (such as buying items or getting food) that took too much cash (I ran out and stopped at an ATM to get more since it was not expected and I loved the service provided). I would definitely do this again but I would have liked to know ahead of time how many people would be helping us.
